Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited at NO RESERVE!!!. I purchased the Jeep from a dealer in Texas who received the car as a trade-in from the original owner. To say that I love this truck is an understatement. I’ve had so many good times camping and 4 wheeling with friends throughout Colorado and Utah. I purchased this Grand Cherokee to carry my family and their gear as we explored the mountains outside of Denver. This particular Grand Cherokee is the 3rd Grand Cherokee that I’ve owned. This truck is very clean, as the pictures will show, and has not been abused. The truck has always been my weekend expedition vehicle. In the winter it would take me snowboarding, in the spring I would go to Moab for Easter Jeep Safari, and then the rest of the year it would take me camping in the mountains. However over the last two years, my Grand Cherokee is seeing less and less action. My wife has a 4 door Wrangler JK with the Rubicon package which has become the off-road vehicle of choice and I have a lifted 2009 Dodge Ram with a Hemi that takes me anywhere in the snow. My Dodge Ram currently has 80,000 miles on it and is my daily driver. Therefore, I’m selling my Jeep Grand Cherokee as well as my 65 VW bug to raise enough money to buy a commuter car. I have done all the required maintenance as well as some serious upgrades listed below. Please read the bullet points below and feel free to contact me and ask any questions. This is a 16 year old car so it is not perfect but is in good condition. No major damage but you can see the dent in the rocker panel in the pictures. · The rear shocks that hold up the tailgate will need to be replaced · The windshield washer reservoir sensor is bad. Therefore the computer thinks the truck needs windshield washer fluid when it doesn’t. · There is a small tear in the center of the driver’s seat · There are white dots of overspray on the steering wheel and inside of the driver’s door. I was painting a door in my garage and somehow got very small white dots of paint on the the steering wheel. Apparently the window was open and they drifted in but not on the outside of the car. Very strange · When at Full turning radius or capacity the front CV joint clicks or clanks when turning. I’ve had several mechanics look into it and nothing appears to be wrong. This has been happening for many years without any issues. · The hood latch release lever inside the car must be manually pulled out to release the hood, and then manually pushed back in so the hood will latch. On May-12-13 at 10:34:48 PDT, seller added the following information: 5/12/13- I just reviewed the Auto History report and have to admit I was shocked. First, when I bought the Jeep, the vehicle history was available via the internet. Therefore I believed the dealer when they told me the purchased it from the original owner. The Jeep was very clean and has no issues so I didn't doubt it. Secondly, the report lists two Frame Damages and I can assure you, the only Frame Damage is the damage I DID to the lower control arm and that was fixed. So I am pretty pissed that the report is stating that when clearly there is no damage. Lastly, the report lists that the Odometer has been "rolled back" and that is COMPLETELY WRONG. I owned the Jeep during that time so I can guarantee that never happened. It's a digital odometer, I don't even know how you would roll that back! Nevertheless, I will posting a video of the Jeep driving and such later today.
