Here is some helpful buyer information, just in case your new to cobra buying :-) Firstly, All true Shelby Cobra's will have a CSX vin number and signed MSO showing CSX build number, including Caroll Shelby Continuation Series. Otherwise it is considered a replica Cobra. Second, all Shelby built engines will have a signed certificate as such. The engine CSX number will appear on the certificate as well as dino sheet. NO ONE builds Shelby engines but Shelby Engine Company. Others may purchase parts from Shelby and build the engine but it is NOT considered a Shelby Engine. Sometimes people misrepresent what they are selling either by ignorance or otherwise, leaving the purchaser with a costly error. Replica Cobras are fine provided you know that is what you are purchasing. If you are wanting a genuine Shelby American Cobra then be certain to check. I am going to sell this car. This is not a test run. This car is 100% completely authentic Shelby CSX ; build CSX 6046; 2010 model/MSO 1965; continuation series; Shelby DNA; glass body; now when they ask if its a Shelby you can finally say YES!Every part on it was provided by Shelby American or Shelby American Dealer. I ordered this car new a couple of years ago. It took over a year to get the car. It has several options that I will go over in detail for you. I am retired and always wanted a Cobra. I have put around 1480 miles on the car and it is perfect. It has NO issues, scratches or blemishes. Being retired you can probably guess I have not raced it. We did have it up to 70 once. My wife and I have decided to purchase something a bit more comfortable, I will be selling this car far under its 130K value! The Shelby is a CSX 6000. Options ordered and cost are, glove box $1075, fuel level gauge $975, upgraded REAL leather interior with map pockets $3850.00, Shelby 3.73 rear axle $1270, Goodyear Billboard tires $1575, safety belts and harness $690, LeMans stripes $1950, painted meatball roundels’ $1060, Shelby ceramic coated side pipes $830, chrome quick jacks $460, The standard items can be found with ease on Shelby’s site therefore it would be redundant to list them here http://www.shelbydistributionusa.com/CSX4000.aspx The engine is a Shelby built alloy aluminum 427, stroked by Shelby to 482 C.I.D. 575 HP it is CSX number 1006 and has a certified certificate indicating the same, signed by Carroll Shelby along with the dino sheet. The car is still under M.S.O. as 1956 Cobra. It is signed by Carroll Shelby (not stamped) This car has no scratches or chips or issues, it does have 3M paint protector film on front areas by dealer. You cant see it and it is removable if you like, $620.00 option also. This car is perfect and if you are looking for a CSX is a great great deal! It is stored in my garage which is heated and air conditioned on a lift therefor I can detail under the car also which is clean as well.
