My FAVORITE out of ALL the 90s era Volvos...the 1998 model year 70series T5s! High pressure turbo "R" model performance without the AWD power losses. Newer body design and computer system with the older (read: most reliable) 850 drivetrain. Very easy to extract 300hp from these cars with only a few bolt-ons. Oh..and this one is NO RESERVE!! I know, I know....but the miles, you say. I promise you, when you win this car and hop in it for the first time, you WILL think it's a car HALF it's age and mileage! Look at this thing!! I seriously only found 2 teeny tiny dings in the lower driver's door that can only be seen while down at ground level. And they can be dentbusted. None anywhere else. I can't wait for you to get your hands on this car!! 2 owners and proper servicing....25+ MPG in a car that can STILL outperform newer cars on the road!! Yes, please! The exterior is easily an 8.5+ out of 10. MINIMAL scratches, mostly to the front bumper cover and after a quick touchup...you will never notice it again. Typical minimal rock chips on the hood and front cover. Even tho it shines very well, the paint could still use a professional buff to remove a few stains and make it justlikenew2u!! Note the front T5 driving lights work properly. Front Yokohams have 60+% tread left and the rears, altho mismatched brands have similar tread as well. All ride on super clean vibration free rims. Unseen are the nearly new brakes and rotors. On the lower left edge above the bumper cover is a metal exposed area. I say "exposed" because it's surface. Rust in color but no holes or chunks missing. A quick scrub to clean it and touchup white and it will be history. Other that that bit of eyesore, there are zero signs of rust to be found on the car. It's white. It will be noticable! Amazingly the bumper cover has hardly any chips. Don't forget the awesome factory issued rear wing...looking great! Above you can see the few dark spots that need some white touchup. No holes, cracks or damages. Just a little scuffed areas. Tell me this car doesn't much younger!?! Below you will start to see the super clean 8 out of 10 interior. Minimal driver's bolster wear. No cracks, rips, cuts or tears to be found in the leather or dashboard. Even the doorpanels don't display the typical armrest seperation....ok...only one rear panel does. 3 out of 4 isn't bad! Look closely and you will find a brand new window control switch panel in the driver's door along with a barely worn factory leather wrapped steering wheel. Below you can see ALL the dummy lights illuminate upon startup with none staying on during run. I hate smoke and I don't see or smell any remnants of a former smoker. ALL the power items works as they should: power windows, heated power mirrors, sunroof, dual climate controls, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, hot hear, heated POWER seats (for some reason the passenger seat power doesn't work, relay?), transmission modes, AM/FM/CD player, cruise, etc. A keen eye will notice some factory dealer issued rear roll-up window shades! Factory floormats are clean and very usuable. Below is the complete UNUSED (!?!) spare setup!! Still has the nipples on the tire!! I hate to say highway only miles, but....all signs point in that direction. Below you can see the complete factoy manuals along with the original business cards. Volvo of Lisle is very reputable and I get as many cars from them as I can. You can probably call them and retrieve a detailed service history from them, if desired. Also are 2 factory key and 2 working factory keyfobs, even tho the one has seen better days with the tape on it. Still works!! Super super clean engine compartment. Pick a spot and eat off of it. I pulled the timing cover since I didn't see a belt tag. Water pump, new within about 15k miles. Timing belt, new, same timeframe. It was changed in the kit fashion so you won't be worrying about that for 60-80k! Distributor cap looks recent. Recent NGK Platinum spark plugs. All not VOLVO dealer issued, but signs of PROPER servicing. Engine starts right up with the strong Interstate battery. Runs smooth with no noises. Turbo is STRONG and smooth. Transmission shifts perfectly. Oil is spotless and clear. Coolant is spotless and clean. No overheating. Suspension is quiet and tight with no squeaks, rattles, or popping. Exhaust is quiet. Upper motor mount is a recent polyeurethane upgrade. Brakes will throw you thru the dash if needed. Air Conditioning is ICE COLD, ready for summer. Underneath, I don't see and major oil or coolant leaks. No spots on my shop floor overnight. Beautiful uncommon car to own, drive, and love. Inspect my excellent feedbacks.
