Vehicle Detail
1970 Chevy C-20 4x4, 350 V8, Automatic Transmission, NP 205 transfer case, Rear Locking differential, Selectro Locking Hubs, Dual Exhaust, All Original, "Including Paint" One Owner, 189,650 total miles, Engine overhauled including balancing @ 85,000. When the engine was overhauled the ignition system was replaced with electronic ignition. Recently removed from storage after ten years. Replaced the following, Radiator, Steering Wheel, Battery, Valve Cover Gaskets, Windshield, and Belts. Rebuilt the Original Rochester Quadrajet Carburetor. Serviced the Transmission. Vehicle has been in New Mexico since purchase and as a result is virtually rust free. Used mainly for family vacations to haul the cab over camper. Tires in great shape. If you are considering doing a frame off restoration this is the vehicle for it, it is in great condition. I am selling it for my father-in-law who is the original owner. The windshield washer pump does not work but the wipers do. The radio is not original, and does not work. Also the left return spring on the turn signal is broken. There are a few very minor dints and dings consistent with average use, And there is a broken spring in the seat on the drivers side, but the seats are other wise in great shape. That is what I know about this truck. This is a great older truck for someone wanting a vintage 4x4. These are getting harder to find and especially in this condition. Thanks for looking. Please see the added pictures and here is some added information. The four wheel drive does work on this truck and has been used very little. My Father-in-law does remember a minor fender bender that happened in 1972 when he said the camper slid forward and dented the bed "see pic 22". I have gone over this truck from one end to the other and can find no evidence of any body work "NO BONDO" Also something fell over in the garage and put a small dent on the drivers side near the back. I painted the rear bumper and rear view mirrors but all the other paint is original.
