Vehicle Detail

I purchased this car a couple of years ago from right here on eBay. The seller, who had owned the car for over a decade, was getting remarried and was selling his house and losing his "extra" garage space. His loss was my gain! You could tell he was very attached to this car, and was quite a bit reluctant to sell. Still, life keeps on changing and it was my turn to own this beautiful vehicle. I purchased this classic the very next weekend and had it shipped from St. Louis to Cleveland in an enclosed transport. Funny how stuff happens, and I suppose I should have been smart enough to see this coming. I got remarried last September, and while we still own 2 house, this needs to be remedied. And guess what? I won't have the same garage space when we combine households. I have considered renting an enclosed space somewhere, and that may still happen, but I'd prefer to sell and add the money into the new mortgage mix. AND not have to worry about my car being stored miles away from me, in some strange space. I purchased this car in the summer of 2009 from St. Louis, MO. The pictures of it looked wonderful and talking to the owner convinced me I had to see it in person. I promptly flew myself out to see the car, and after crawling around underneath and studying every possible angle, I knew I had to own it. This car is as rust free as you will find. Now, I live in Cleveland; a terrible place for cars, but I have purchased cars from all over the country and know where to find them and what they look like. I invite you to crawl under this baby and see solid metal everywhere you look. To be completely accurate, way in the back there is a tiny thin-metal support piece between 2 major heavy-metal frame pieces that had a rusty area. There is a picture of it in the collection. That is all that I found. This is a SOLID car. The engine and transmission run well. I was able to drive the car on the freeway in St. Louis for a distance and was very pleased. I've had it on the local freeways a couple of times here where the roads are not as good (ONLY in the summer months, BTW), and it preforms well. The power steering pump shakes a little at idle, but that's all to notice. Garaged and covered over the winter months; very well protected. Interior is excellent, paint is great, the chrome is also very nice although I was planning on having some of it replated to add even more sparkle. AM radio works, but I have a setup that plays old tunes from my smartphone. Gas gauge doesn't work, but I've got a new sending unit that I have yet to put in. I haven't driven it as much as I thought I would, and while I have improved the car slightly while in my possession, this beauty is calling for a more attentive owner. I've got tons of pictures, and invite you to come see the car yourself. It's not show-perfect, but it's in great shape as a head-turning driver ready to enjoy. A $500 deposit due within 3 days of pressing BIN or me accepting your offer. Balance due within 14 days unless otherwise agreed upon and the car picked up at that time. Cash or a certified check which must clear before the car and title will be released. I can be around for transport company pickup if you decide to go that route; you make the arrangements and are responsible for any and all transport costs. I'd rather you email me with questions or provide a phone number instead of me posting my number here. Give me a number and best time to call and I will do my best to accomodate you. So as not to waste anyone's time, I'll add a bit more detail and answer the question I have received wanting more pictures. First, note that the reserve is $12k. I have more than that in the car, and it is worth that much to me. I will not sell it for anything less; I will rent a garage for it and keep it before that happens. I may list a couple of more times before I give up, but this is my bottom line and I don't see it changing. There is a small leak via the rear seal of the transmission. It's not much and I've had to top it off twice since buying it. The car doesn't drive any differently ... but then I just check it and top it off, if needed, before and after I drive it. A large collection of additional pictures is HERE. Note that there are 2 pages ... use links at the top of the page to toggle between the 2. Oh. I'll also note that the car was loaded with Buick pillows and decorative things inside and out. All of these things certainly go with the car, but I did remove them and seal them up in a plastic bin. I wanted to have the car look as stock as possible, not like a plush apartment. This includes the 2 clip on round emblems displayed on the front drill in these pictures.
