I'm truly sad to see this truck go. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION!!!! I am a very HONEST seller and have sold many items, some of which were high dollar, and I pride myself on my feedback score. I want to be as absolutely CERTAIN that there is full disclosure on this truck, so there are NO problems after the auction. The truck is available to be seen in Bayville NJ 08721, but I am VERY rarely home to show it. This truck was purchased as a second owner from a local dealership by my brother. He drove it for many years, then sold it to me, and it was MY daily driver up until November 2012. One day it decided to sprout a LARGE oil leak! I am not a mechanic, but I know the oil is leaking from the passenger side top of the engine very high up. I think it may be valve covers, but fear that it is a head gasket! I have not had it properly diagnosed, because frankly, I'm just not willing to put any more money into this truck. The truck runs and drives fine for a truck with nearly a quarter million miles on it. I have always maintained this truck very well. Within the last year, I replaced the water pump, spark plugs and wires, front upper and lower control arms, inner and outer tie rods, pitman arm, idler arm, brake pads, calipers, hoses, and 4 tires. The truck has a remote start system and power remote door locks. I only have one fob for this system, and the acutators for the door locks are getting slow. The passenger one usually only works after hitting the button a few times, sometimes not at all. The driver door locks and unlocks with the remote with no problems. The AC blows Ice cold and the truck rides well. Cosmetically, she is in need of love! The paint is very faded, and has light scratches everywhere. It could stand an AGGRESSIVE buffing to see if she can come back to life. When it is wet, it looks pretty good. Most of the time, it looks pretty poor. The interior is consistent with a truck which has been used for everything and survived 2 little boys. The carpet and door panels are quite stained from years of use, and there are dirt/stains all over. The seats themselves are in surprisingly good condition, however, the back seat has the remnants of a melted 5 lb. gummy bear (which you can see in the pictuere). (And yes, I said FIVE POUND Gummy Bear!). the body is in decent shape all around, except for the paint being flat. The truck was rear ended in the right rear bumper, which folded the bumper and pushed the exhaust in. I never replaced the bumper, but had the exhaust fixed at a local Midas. The rear differential shifted a little when it was hit, but nothing broke, and it never affected the, ride, so I never worried about it. The truck NEEDS the oil leak fixed in order to be dependable. It smokes when running, as the oil runs straight onto the exhaust system. Otherwise, it runs and drives just fine, needs to be cleaned up a bit. I decided I don't want to spend any more time or money on this truck. It is a great option for someone that is mechanically inclined to fix the leak, and wants to spend a few days detailing it! It has a bed liner and a tool box and newer tires. Heck, the tires and tool box are worth what I'm starting the auction at. Bid away! Please ask as many questions as you need to, and don't be shy.
