2004 New Beetle Convertible Start your summer early!! Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This car is currently being used as my daily driver. I drive approximately 8 miles a day to work and back, so the odometer reading will be a bit higher when you look at it. The car runs well, and has had regular service, both by the dealer and a local VW garage. There are 4 fairly new Cooper tires on the car. The factory multiple (6) CD player was installed by the dealer. It is hidden under the armrest between the two front seats, and is in a locable compartment. The radio is the standard VW Monsoon radio with cassette player. There is no AUX input jack for an MP3 player, but I have a device which will let you connect your player and play it through the tape deck; it will be included with the car. There are a few issues, which are noted below: The car was "t-boned", and as such, the driver's door has a large dent (pictured). The door does close securely and lock, but the window will not go down all the way and the remote entry will not lock/unlock the doors .. this must be done manually. The Trunk does open remotely. The left rear window does not retract, and is being wedged closed (please see pictures). It can be moved manually, but I keep it up all the time. There is a tear in the convertible top over the driver seat, which has been patched (pictured). The patch has given us no problems at all; it has never leaked either with heavy snow or rain! The front right-hand fender is cracked (pictured)The Airbag warning light is on (we were told by the VW dealer that this occurs when a sensor in the front of the car (because the car is low to the ground) somehow gets dislodged .. there is actually nothing wrong with the airbags)The brake pad light is on; however, the brakes work and feel fine. There are scratches on the right and left fenders (pictured) The car is in the near suburbs of Boston and is being sold on an "AS IS, WHERE IS" basis; viewing can be arranged with prior notification. The car has a current/valid MASS inspections sticker. The Buyer is responsible for removal of the car within 24 hours of the end of the auction and is responsible for any costs related to the removal of the vehicle. The car can be driven under its own power onto a transport -or- it can be driven away. The Buyer is responsible for registering the car after purchase. All taxes and registration & inspections fees are the responsibility of the Buyer. The car is being offered at a very reasonable price on a BUY-IT-NOW basis. I am not looking for, nor will I accept any offers other than the BUY-IT-NOW price. If you're looking for a good commuter vehicle which gets good mileage, look no further.
