Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a perfectly running/riding 1976 Honda CB200t. It has a clear Indiana state title. It has just less than 7200 original miles. I'm the 3rd owner. The bike has been either garaged (first two owners) or underneath a covered parking shelter (me) and it has never been in an accident. So, cosmetically, it's in very good shape. And I’ve made some cosmetic improvements in the last year, including new mirrors and hand grips (all original NOS Honda parts). It has some minor rust, some scrapes on the frame (especially heavy around the tank rubbers), some blemishes to the paint on the tank--all about what you'd expect on a 35 year old bike that hasn't been restored. But the chrome is great looking over all and the tank has no dents and is clean inside. This bike shines up really nicely. The pipes are in good shape--no holes and very little or no surface rust. Tires have plenty of tread left on them and the rear inner-tubing was replaced in fall 2011. Kick and electric start both work. All electrical components are in good working order. Other work done in the last year: All new internal carb parts (HONDA parts—no carb re-build kits); carb sync and balance; new fuel lines and in-line filters; new plugs and battery. So there are lots of "new" original Honda parts on this bike. It looks super for its age and it's been a daily "around town" rider for me for the last three years. Pick it up and go—needs nothing! Sale includes the ORIGINAL OWNER'S MANUAL (which is in great shape--no tears, no writing, just some aging). I also have some extra parts that I will negotiate (if the buyer is interested)—including an original luggage rack, some carb parts, engine covers, and a headlight bucket. This is an increasingly rare classic bike in really good cosmetic and mechanical (running and riding) shape. Own a piece of Honda history! It's a great starter bike or a great addition to someone's collection or a great bike eventually to do a full restore on. I’ve asked for a $200 deposit within 3 days of the auction’s close (via PayPal). The balance of the purchase price is due within seven days of the auction’s close (via Cashier’s check, money order or PayPal). Buyer is responsible either for picking up the bike or handling all the shipping arrangements. Please look closely at the pictures. I’ve tried my best to document the “good” and the “bad” on this bike (cosmetically speaking). I’m happy to take additional pictures at request. Feel free to email with any questions, and I’ll answer honestly and thoroughly. If you’re local and would like to look at the bike, let me know and we can make arrangements. NO JOY RIDES. And no test drives unless you have cash in hand and a motorcycle endorsement on your license that is at least 3 years old. Please note: I have one tentative local offer of $1350. So, my list-price of $1400 is meant to see if I can do better, plain and simple. I will entertain “best offers” during the auction, but you’d have to beat $1350. And, since it is for sale locally, I reserve the right at any time to end the Ebay auction. Thanks!
