This Alfa Romeo is a very dry and straight example of a late model Giulia 101 spider. Originally sold in southern California, the car has since spent most of its life in northern Colorado. The paint is decent, The previous owner replaced the passenger side rocker panel to professional spec. The car comes very complete with: drivetrain (in pieces-ready for assembly), trim and top mechanism (no canvas), original glass, factory paint code sticker in the boot and spare tire. Top bows mechanism needs a little attention, the seats need foams and upholstery and the carpets are gone along with the dash pad. After dating the engine block, it appears to be original based on the factory number for reference. This engine was indeed produced for a 1964 Guilia. Included is an old log book dating the second sale to a gentlemen in northen Colorado on 2nd, April 1969 for $1800.00 with only 17,800 miles on the car. The 2nd owner of the car was told in the mid-late 70’s that these vehicles were “race cars” and needed a complete engine overhaul every 30,000 miles. The drivetrain was removed, not 10,000 miles later, in 1976 and the car sat, out of sight until the owner sold it in the fall of 2012. The next owner (another northern CO resident) began some minor restoration (such as the rocker panel replacement) before deciding to sell to Classic Investments only a few months later.
