1970 Buick GS 455, Real 446 code GS, Red This is ABSOLUTE NO RESERVE AUCION for a REAL Grand Sport 455, 446 VIN coded Flint Michican assembly plant car. Car is born with awesome colors, code 75 75 Fire Red with Code 188 Black Bucket seat interior. The car is a original 445 GS 455 with the original BB Code TH400 automatic. The good: Real 446 VIN coded GS 455, Original Fire Red, Black Bucket Seats, Console, Also has optional Hood Tach, Optional Rear Spoiler, New Firestone Tires. The 455 runs good and is still running in the car. The entire iginition system is new MSD Distributor, MSD Blaster coil and MSD 6AL. This was a running diving car before body restoration was started (See pictures of red car on trailer). It is a power Disc Brake car. The hood has been striped to bare metal and epoxy primed and is solid. The roof has been striped to bare metal and epoxy primed and is solid, the Passenger door has been striped inside and out and Epoxy primed, needs minor patch work on passenger door but is very usable. The trunk lid has been professionly striped and epoxy primed, and needs only a couple minor patches. As soon as the project went belly up we locked all the stripped metal in epozy primer so none of the bare metal would rust. It looks like hell with the panels cut off but actually a lot of work has been done. All the stainless trim can be buffed and reinstalled. I have the Ram Air Air Cleaner set up, Seats just need recovered, Console is solid, needs a trim package The bad: As you can see the car is a abandon project. Restoration of the body was started with removal of the quarter panels, some striping and sandblasting and work stopped there. The drivers door was to badly damaged to repair and was thrown way so it needs a complete drivers door. The bottoms of the fenders need lower patches which are path panels available and will fix the fenders. The trunk floor has enough rust to justify a complete trunk floor kit. The passnger floor area needs misc patches, but none to major. The core support as on all these cars has some rust under the battery tray and at the mount on the drivers side but is repairable with the patch kit which is available. ll the chrome needs replated bu everything is in good shape for replateing. And obviously the seats need ecovered, alon with door panles, carpet etc, but this stuff is all available cheap. Offer: For the buyer of the car.
