Here's another fun little S40 base model. Super clean inside and out. Low miles. Ready to go anywhere! The exterior is an easy 7.5+ out of 10. Front bumper cover is nice with no damages or cracks. Vinyl trim has the typical fading. Hood has typical rock chips for it's age but is clean along with the roof. Driver's side has minimal, if any, dings. Above is a shot of the nicest Michelin tire with tread showing at least 60+% tread left. All tires are matching signs of recent dealer servicing. Tires ride on nice damage/vibration free rims. Below hood and roof look great! Paint shines very well, but could still use a professional buff/detail to remove it's imperfections. Trunklid looks great. Rear bumper cover has seen better days but no major damages, cracks or holes. The right side of the car has also seen better days. Above and below you can see minimal damages. I mentioned the NO RESERVE auction on this car?? Above you can see the sole visible rust spot. Very common on the 40 series lineup since Volvo cheaped out on the factory mudflaps. Below are 2 more dings in the upper fender. I feel these can be dentbusted if desired. The 8+ out of 10 interior easily makes up for what the exterior lacks! Very few minor stains (mostly in the rear) that can easily be cleaned. The cloth seating is nearly perfect otherwise. No driver's bolster wear. No cuts, holes, or tears to be found. I hate smoke and I can't see or smell any remnants of a former smoker. Sterring wheel is barely worn. Buttons and controls are justlikenew2u!! As you can see above and below, ALL the dummy lights illuminate upon startup with NONE on during run. The "check engine" light was on when I got the car. I ran the codes and ONE code was found with my cheapie reader. "EVAP LEAK SMALL" code was present. Volvos can be finnicky when it comes to loose gas caps, etc. I cleared the code and it hasn't come back on after 300 miles of driving and refueling. As far as I can tell, ALL the power items work as they should: HEATED seats, climate control with BRAND NEW fan resistor and cabin filter (prone to failing from clogged filters), ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, power windows, locks, transmission.traction modes, cruise, AM/FM/TAPE player.....and.... ....a FACTORY VOLVO 6disc CD CHANGER!! Comes with a protective cover. Factory clean floormats and spare tire setup are intact. Above you can see all the factory manuals and radio card are included along with one key and one working keyfob. Below are views of the excellent engine compartment. Sparks plugs are fresh. Oil, trans fluid and coolant are clean. Air filter is clean. Engine fires right up with the recent strong battery installed. Motor mounts are tight (they tend to soften up and cause vibration on these cars over time). Hate to use the cliche, but the engine runs like a sewing machine: Smooth and quiet. Turbo spools up nicely. Timing belt is about 20k miles old. How do I know? I've inspected it for starters and if you stare at the final pic below, you can see the blank square patch on the airbox indicating a once visible timing belt tag. Considering the miles on the car and my experiences, it was changed at the proper interval of about 90-100k. Transmission shifts properly. AC is ICE COLD, Heat HOT. Suspension is noise free and drives nicely with no unusal pulling or wandering. Brakes are nearly new with no pulsing or grinding. Under the car I see no major oil or coolant leaks. No spots on my shop floor overnight. No overheating. No worries. INSPECT my excellent feedbacks. BID, BUY, and DRIVE this car ANYWHERE with 100% CONFIDENCE!! NO RESERVE!! GOOD LUCK!
