Then one modified into a V8 hot rod takes the cake. I bought this recently but a financial change forces me to sell, after I did a bunch of work to it and making it ready for a fun life. This Econoline has a 73 Ford Granada 302 V8 adapted to it, which has been fully rebuilt and only has 27,000 miles on it, Edelbrock 4 barrel carb and intake, Blaster electronic ignition, lots of chrome, mated to a C4 automatic 3 speed transmission and a custom built aluminum radiator. Starts immediately every time and runs like a champ (she is a quick one as well). And since she runs so good, I just redid all the brakes and they are working fantastic to make sure she can stop. Paint is fairly recent inside and out, it’s a flat midnight purple hot rod color (really looks black in almost all light conditions) and has some beautiful hand painted pinstripe work, truly a work of art on the pin stripe job. 50’s Cadillac tail lights (everyone loves these). It’s the rare 5 window cab and visibility is awesome. Brand new white wall tires, and also have a full set of moon race disc wheel covers, I just liked the painted steelie look on this truck. All glass is good, cab heater with all original knobs and buttons, extra gauges for the motor (oil pressure, voltage, water temp) and everything else works inside with the exception of fuel gauge (haven’t had time to investigate yet), recovered seats, I just installed seat belts and mirrors. Custom made vinyl tonneau cover with snaps. Bed is clean as can be, I was gonna use her and a moto hauler so it was important to me. Really is a great truck from a great era and gets thumbs up everywhere I go, hate to let it go, but tax man is forcing my hand.
