1999 Ford Crew Cab Dually Diesel Dually - PROJECT TRUCK I brought this truck to turn it into a recovery vehicle. It has a 7.3 liter turbo diesel with a automatic transmission. I brought it fully expecting to have to put money into it however my diesel mechanical just had knee surgery so the truck just sits. It drives good. The furthest I have driven it was from Toledo Ohio to Detroit Mi. It is hard to start in cold weather. It has selectable 2wd and 4wd setting. It goes down the highway really comfortable. It has alot of acceleration and power. The trans shift good. No cloud of white smoke. The fuel guage moves to empty when the vehicle is off and registers full when the vehicle is running. No in between fuel readings. I just had the oil changed. The body is pretty solid. No rot. The glass is good. I did notice a patch of oil on the asphalt the last time I drove it. Electrically, the power windows and locks all work, the headlights, wipers, turn signals brake and reverse lights all work. The rear passenger door has to be open from the inside. The driver side seat needs to be reupholstered. The front tires have inner ware. Aftermarket radio with detachable face plate. The eclipse ground effects on the driver side needs replacing. Also on the passenger side the eclipse ground effect that goes on the wheel well needs to be replaced. The tail gate does not lock. Again I brought this truck as a project truck. The issues I disclosed above are the ones that I discovered. Very solid body.
