Vehicle Detail

Here's my personal baby!! The Grizzly! Yes...the decals will come off. Never got around to it. I've owned it for about 2 years give or take and have logged over 8000 miles on it. I've also properly maintained it's needs so I can vouch for it's reliability!! I bought it originally to use for my motorcycle hauler. Well....the bikes still sit but the work has to be done. I strapped on my car dolly and went to work right away. I can't vouch for the time before me, but I've ONLY used it to tow one car on a dolly at a time. Never anything larger. But you can barely tell there's a car behind me while driving. This truck is STRONG! In the pursuit of maximum fuel economy (yeah right, ERIC!! It's a BIG truck!) I immediately installed new spark plugs. Knowing the coils are prone to random failure, I bought a brand new matching set off Ebay and installed those as well. Then I ordered up a set of freshly cleaned and tested fuel injectors. Installed those and backed it up with a fresh fuel filter. Regular oil changes followed and it's got me EVERYWHERE I've taken the truck in ANY weather. I've also installed a strong Interstate battery for those cold days too! As you can see below, it has all the Super Duty necessities like the transmission cooler and trans temp gauge inside. Never got hot or given me a proplem but truth be told, it's time for a transmission fluid change. No problems or slipping, just old fluid. GOTTA change it for reference and reliability...especially if you plan to do some heavy towing. Front bumper is solid but chipped plenty. A qwik sander and a respray will have it looking justlikenew2u!! Hood and roof look great. Minimal rockchips on the hood. No rust. I actually swapped these aluminum wheels and tires off of a former V10 Super duty that I had prior to this truck. A tad taller tire to squeeze every last ounce of MPG from it! Tread is easily 50% left and worn evenly. No massive vibrations or roadnoises. Pretty quiet actually. Note the perfectly working aftermarket WARN hub locks. Never a problem with operation, even on those cold mornings! I snapped a few pics of the underside, as I do on all the big trucks I sell. No major differential leaks front or rear. Front steering stabilizer and stabilizer bar links are all new 6 months ago. Suspension is solid and quiet with no noises or squeaks. Truck drives nice and straight down the road with no unusual pulling or wandering. I installed new front brake pads when I got the truck nearly 2 years ago. Since then, and I didn't realize it, the front calipers were lightly dragging. This eventually got worse and I literally just installed BRAND NEW calipers on both sides about 200 miles ago! Brakes work perfectly now altho the pads are a bit worn and there is a light front brake pulse....not enough to warrant new/resurfaced rotors. I also took the time to flush the front brake lines so there is now fresh new brake fluid. No worries! You may also have noticed, even tho there are bald spots in the paint on the lower doors, there isn't any rust in this area! No holes. Barely surface. Very solid underneath, ready to paint or mount some step tubes! Above you can see the typical rust hole area that occurs on many of the Ford truck line. Snap some plastic fender trim on for a quick coverup fix or just leave it. Tailgate is solid with only typical surface rust along the lower lip. See pic below for a better inside view. Rear bumper has seen better days but is strong. Has the complete towing hitch setup with BOTH wiring plug styles. There is also another 4 prong plug up top for towing magnet lights. I even installed a MATCHING full size aluminum spare with an excellent tire! All the cable/pulley mechanism has been lubed up for proper function. Nothing is worse than being on the side of the road with a flat, a flat spare, and a spare that you can't remove from age! It also has the complete spare setup, jack, crank bar, and even the spare tire key for the lock to keep would-be thieves from snagging your spare! Aside from the left rust hole on the bed, this side has seen way better days. Some sort of a scrape that I've never attempted to fix. Adds "character"...as if the Grizzly logos don't... Again....no major rust on the passenger side either. Solid. Note the recent exhaust work. I removed the stock muffler and added a Dynomax/Thrush welded muffler. Sounds very very nice but still has the factory Cat so it's not obnoxiously loud. Interior is pretty basic but has all the right stuff. I installed a cloth bench seat when I first got the truck. That factory vinyl garbage gets HOT in the summer! Below you can see it has minimal wear underneath the seat cover. This cover was nice so I left it on. Easy to remove and wash if needed. It also has some storage pockets on the rear of the seats. Above you can see there are ZERO dummy lights on while running and all are illuminated upon startup. Excellent oil pressure. No overheating of anything. Passenger airbag switch works. 2 accessory/cig plugs for your cellphone and Navigation. I also installed a factory Ford proper CD player so the radio is ready for those long days! No massive holes drilled anywhere. Cup holder is intact. 4x4 shifter works perfectly. 4wd is silent and smooth. No noises. Heat works perfectly and the Air Conditioning blows ICE COLD! Unseen in the pics, and I tried to take one of it, is the crack across the upper portion of the windshield. It's not in the line of sight and barely noticeable (can't see it in ANY of the exterior pics above) that I've never fixed it. Above you can see the better shot of the gate lip. Not super solid but repairable is desired. Bed is great save for the 2 small holes pointed out above and below. Off to either side so it won't interfere much. Front of the bed is minty. No damages, dents or push-ins. Truck has all the factory manuals in a nice case. Only one ignition key but it's not the VATS key with the transponder chip. Easy to duplicate at any hardware store. Below you can see the nice clean engine compartment. Oil and filter changed regularly by yours truly. Oil is spotless. Coolant is spotless. As stated, trans fluid will need to be changed. Probably time for an air filter and belt as well. Minimal. Hoses are fine. Only one thing to mention and I haven't had the time to fix...the engine just sprung a small oil drip. Passenger side and I believe from the back of the valve cover. So small that had it not dripped on the exhaust below, I would have never noticed it. This happened about 6 months ago just before winter so you can imagine me not wanting to be out in the COLD to repair such a thing. Naturally you can't leave it be, but it's also not a rush job. Yes you can drive/use the truck as-is until you get to it. But I disclose EVERYTHING I know bout my vehicles. As stated, everything works as it should. Hot heat. Cold Air. Engine fires right up every time. No noises. No suspension issues. No drivetrain problems. No major leaks. No differential whines or noises. This truck runs and drives like one with 90k. All the more costly service has been performed BEFORE there were problems. The way it should be! Clean clear paperwork in hand, ready to hand over to YOU! BID, BUY, and DRIVE ANYWHERE with 100% CONFIDENCE!! Inspect my excellent feedbacks! NO RESERVE!! GOOD LUCK! I apologize in advance if I sound like I'm scolding....but this NEEDS to be said. This vehicle is AS-IS/AS-SHOWN. The vehicle is in Illinois being sold by me. There are many great affordable aftermarket warranty companies out there that will warranty nearly anything. Use them. I CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE for your individual state's INSPECTION or EMISSIONS compliance. I am simply trying to offer you and possibly your family a quality reliable vehicle. Like most Americans, I still can't afford a new car. I regularly sell $3000-$6000 vehicles. Mostly what I would personally drive or own. I don't know if you are buying in my state or in Virginia or California...so I HAVE to make our cars ready for the road trip. I don't know who will be driving the car. So I MUST make it ready for your teen or your job in the morning. I can only promise I do the BEST that I can with what I have and what I sell. My EXCELLENT FEEDBACKS prove it. I'm not here to rip people off. I'm also here to help so feel free to contact me after purchase for anything. Even if you have any questions about a future purchase. Also, understand that I spend many countless hours (inspecting, repairing, cleaning, taking pics and writing specific personal ads) for everything I sell...not to mention the $125 sell fee that is charged to me at the end. Please don't jack around if you don't plan to go thru with the purchase. Thanks for your understanding. Now you're at the bottom. Hopefully I've covered the main specifics of the vehicle and eased your mind. I understand that you are putting yourself or your loved ones in this vehicle. I personally have put my own mother in an 01 C70 with 185k miles(which I just roadtripped 1500miles) and I personally drove a 98 S70 with 220k miles(which I just sold)! Many of my personal friends drive cars that I have sold them. My best friend is on his 5th from me. I treat you no different. If I haven't covered any of your questions or concerns, please feel free to email or call me at 815.744.7223. My name is Eric. Also, understand that I have the right to end the auction early due to local sale. I STILL REQUIRE a $500 deposit to be made within 24hours. Use Paypal for the deposit please.
