My daughter is graduating High School, so I am clearing out some bikes for college dollars. This is my 1985 Honda interceptor VF500F. I purchased this a few years ago and I’ve ridden it regularly. The 1983-85 Interceptors (The VFs) are starting to rise in value as one of the more collectable of the first of the sport bikes. It has 12,393 miles. Please check out video below!! After not riding it for a while, I’ve replaced the battery, new fuel filter, plugs and cleaned out the fuel. It start ride up and idles well. I took it out today and it runs well but there is a bit of surging at highway speeds. There may be some dirt in one of the jets or it may just need to be ridden for a while. It handles wonderfully. At this point, I need the space, so I am selling as is. This is a clean bike. It has a couple of blemishes. Unfortunately the tank has gas spill down the right side which removed a good bit of paint (see photo). The side covers have all three (each) of their male tabs (a rarity). It does not leak. The brakes are fine. The tires are 50%+. It has a new windshield that I replaced last year. I’ve got it as a No Reserve and low starting price for a quick sale. In the past month three *(very nice) Interceptors went for over $4000. This bike needs only some Carb work and a fix on the faring, some minor cosmetics and it’s a great appreciating value. This is the kind of bile that you can use for a few years and then sell for a profit if you want to let it go. They have paced the bottom of eth value curve and are not starting to climb. I can ship anywhere but you’ll have to do your own homework for shipping prices. But I will deliver it in Baltimore to get shipped (this is a large shipping city) to get it to you. I’ve live just outside of Baltimore a few miles of Rt 95. I need a $200 Deposit within 24 hours of close of sale. The balance can be PayPal or Certified Check only.
