Vehicle Detail
**might sell without rims if you make an offer** for sale is my personal low mileage 1995 caprice classic. ill try to explain the history and what i have done to it as best as i can. this was originally an old man car who kept this under a car port and barely drove it. he passed away, left the car to his grandson, who once got the car sold it to me in mid october 2011. i might technically be the third owner, but im really second owner. i got the car at 29,xxx miles and was damn proud to have such a low mileage car. while it was under the carport, it had picked up a few dings from the hurricanes that has passed through florida. when the grandson got the car, he threw a quick paint job on it with hopes of selling it faster. i say quick paint job because whoever did it did no prep work. they just taped up the windows and sprayed it. they didn't even remove the side trim. so the car was originally gray but sprayed light blue. there is some overspray on some of the weatherstripping. the body has waves and a few dings if you really get on it but its not that noticeable. front passenger side is the worst. the most work i did to the car is interior. it was originally blue and i wanted to go mostly gray with a little blue. the dash and a few trim parts are dyed with SEM aerosol spray, the others i got from a gray interior car. some of the blue is showing through on a couple spots but its nothing major. you can just redo it if need be. the carpet is original blue with original floor mats and cheap floor mats over the original ones. the car has manual seats. i bought a pair of seats that were made into buckets and rewrapped in gray, but im not sure of the material. they have ss embroidered on the front headrests, impala logo in the middle of the back seat. there is also no arm rest for the back seat and no magazine holder behind the front seats. i also put an impala ss console in there from a 95 with the cup holders. the console fits in there snug so i did not bolt it down. also the front passenger side door panel is cracked. i repaired it and its a little ugly but they're hard to find two of the bigger things i did to the interior was added a camaro z28 cluster with tachometer. this is a somewhat popular mod to do to these cars to get rid of the digital dash. i bought this from someone who refurbishes and modifies the z28 gauges specifically to work in these cars. it adds a nice sporty look with the analog gauges. to get this to work properly i had to run a wire to the pcm for the tachometer and switch out the oil pressure sender. now the tachometer and oil gauge both work great and properly. the other thing i did was add a late 90s model monte carlo steering wheel. this is another popular mod to do to get radio controls, since that wasn't an option for these cars. the steering wheel is a direct bolt on, so there was no modification to get it installed. i had to buy a different aftermarket head unit that was compatible with steering wheel controls and i also had to buy an axxess steering wheel radio control adapter so it would all work together. the controls don't all work 100% but you can skip tracks, turn volume up and down, mute, and cycle through am/fm/cd/ipod. i put an alpine head unit in the car along with kicker front speakers, boston acoustic rear speakers, two rockford fosgate amps and a sundown 15in sub. i wasn't trying to shake the block with bass, just something decent sounding. the alpine head unit has an ipod/iphone cable. sometimes it says error 01 if you unplug it and plug something else in while the head unit is on. i just leave my ipod plugged in and it works fine. i also have a viper alarm in the car, installed professionally. i believe its model 3002. no problems. comes with a main remote with lcd screen and a secondary remote. it has two way page so if someone is trying to steal the car, the main remote starts beeping. also has a mercury switch in the trunk so once the trunk opens a certain amount it sets off the alarm i also put new gray headliner. while the headliner was out i added lighted rear coat hooks, dual lighted sunvisors, and a 92 roadmaster wagon rear view mirror that has a compass and dual map lights. under the hood i didn't really do anything. i added a k&n intake and camaro intake elbow. i also did two out of the "big 3" upgrade which is adding a larger cable (i used 4G wire) from the battery negative to the fender ground, and also from the battery positive to the alternator. the car has a duralast gold battery thats maybe 5 months old. i also have two tsunami top battery connectors for the extra wires. the car also has a 9c1 caprice 140amp alternator from autozone. the wheels on the car are velocity 24s. they each have 10 inserts that can be painted and added to the rims, i just never got around to painting and installing them. the tires are good, they have maybe 5k miles on them and still has good tread. the rims have a little pitting on them. the car needs an alignment due to it pulling right. the car can't do full u-turns but close to it. its on stock suspension. it rarely rubs going over a bump, but it has done it before. ive always only used chevron gas and mobil1 oil. ive never shipped a car but its your responsibility for shipping. if i can fit these in the car, im also including the original blue cloth seats and original tires. im sure i forgot stuff but if i remember anything else ill add it. feel free to message me with any questions. this is my daily driver so the mileage will be increasing. as of 3/22/2013 it now has 38,030 miles. took a long 2 hour trip which added some miles but it did drive great with zero problems. *** front windows are off the track. they work but don't go down properly*** rear passenger window doesn't work*** front passenger window tint is messed up on the bottom. also the rear window has a corner coming undone exterior- color matched impala ss grill- color
