Vehicle Detail
Beautiful Honda Scrambler I have owned this bike for about 15 years. It has been kept up meticulously. I ride it about 3 times a year for a few miles just to make sure it is running well. Everything works as it should including the neutral light, brakes, and turn signal indicators. It comes with the correct manual, tool kit, spare brake shoes (new) and new air cleaners in the box. The brakes and air cleaners on it now are good but you never know when you can't find NOS parts. The pipes are in excellent shape and show almost no sign of heat discoloration. It has snuf-or-nots. The carburetors have been recently rebuilt professionally - boiled out, jetted, re-plated, etc by a company in Texas. The battery is less than a year old. I changed the ignition to electronic which really helps the overall performance. The old ignition with points and condenser tended to float at the top end of the RPM range and they just didn't idle well at the low end. This ignition fixed those issues. It starts first kick every time. It needs to idle for a few minutes fully choked (they were always cold starters). It runs well and pulls uphill very well with me on board (240 lbs.) On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being museum quality this bike is a 6-7 maybe more. If you want a beautiful bike and want to ride this is the one for you. This is the same type of bike I had in High School and I just bought a new 2013 Honda. So, I am ready to part with this nostalgic beauty after having enjoyed this bike for about 15 years. The tank is in excellent shape - no dings or scratches. Just one or two very light nicks - almost can't see them. It is not a repaint. Correct badges. Petcock works perfectly. It is currently titled in Oregon. It comes with the "Glenn's Honda Manual" and a new set of points/condenser just in case you ever want to revert from electronic ignition. I will help get this bike to a carrier for transport. There is no warranty, expressed or implied. The bike is as is. I require full payment before delivery. No trades. Cashiers check or money order preferred. Personal check is ok but must clear before shipping. Paypal deposit is ok.
