0 0 1 1696 9672 Law Offices of Tristram Buckley 80 22 11346 14.0 96 800x600 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE The Euro 328 weighs just 2806!!! That’s 357 pounds lighter than the USA model which weighs in at 3163. The benefits of this light weight are felt in lighter steering, faster braking and higher cornering speeds as well as improved acceleration. This 328 Spider even weighs hundreds of pounds less than the "lightweight" 458. The European 328, stock, makes 270 hp, 10 hp more than the USA model. The USA car did 0-60 in 6.0 seconds with ¼ mile at 15.1 seconds. The Euro 328 goes 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and runs through the ¼ mile in 14.2 seconds. The trunk of this Spec 328 is much larger as well. This 328 weighs significantly less than the US spec cars so it goes faster, stops better, handles better and unlike the US cars, never has an overheating issue. The interior of this car looks nearly new. If you were told this car was six months old you would look at the interior and agree. The original carpet is the best I've ever seen of an original Ferrari carpet. The door panels, dash and console are impeccable. The rear area around the window was redone with a much nicer material to replace the unattractive OEM potato sack like material. The seats have brand new leather as you can see from the photos. However, the original seats were fine even before being re-leathered. I have photos of the original seat covers, they're glove soft and without any tears and they will come with the car as well. This 328 also has the most extensive set of tools and original accessories I've seen (photo). Not only does it have its jack bag and tool bag, but the tool bag appears totally complete. The jack bag even includes the original spark plugs that fit in their proper places, as well as the jack and jack related tools. Also included is the pouch and Ferrari light which plugs into the cigarette lighter (between the tools and jack equipment). Also included is the light and fuse holder (the round green object in the photo). Of course, the owner's manual is included as well along with its Ferrari leather case. Just before selling the 328 to me the doctor had A FERRARI AUTHORIZED DEALER install a supercharger installed for an additional $5253.08. Everything is basically new and unusued. There are virtually no miles on the supercharger installation. Unlike a complex turbo system, this supercharger merely unbolts and so the future owner can decide if they want the car 100% stock or with the supercharger system in place. The supercharger is a simple bolt on so it can easily be removed and the 328 put back to stock in no time at all. In fact, if this is how the buyer wants it I will have it put back to stock and the buyer gets the 328 Stock and an essentially new Supercharger Kit they can keep for the future or sell, as they see fit. I also have receipts for the Ferrari Dealer installation of the supercharger. The Ferrari dealer installed new clutch at 14k miles so it has just 12k miles on the clutch. In addition to the original 16" wheels that came with the car, and are sold with the car, pictured on the 328 are the extremely rare $5,000 17" Speedline Mistral wheels. Speedline was an original equipment supplier of wheels to Ferrari and no wheel looks better on a 328 than these Speedline Mistrals! While only 6068 328GTSi were manufactured over four years (Ferrari has mass produced more than twice this number of 360s), this model is particularly rare. She’s also covered just 26k miles. The prior owner was a prominent dentist. Just 2k miles ago her motor was completely rebuilt by a Ferrari dealership. Why? I've spoken with the prior owner who had the motor rebuilt and he said the motor had some oil leaks. Frankly, I think the doctor was taken advantage of, but either way, there are just 2,000 miles on what is essentially a new motor! Of course, there are receipts from the dealer for the rebuild. There are also other service records as well. On returning from the "Car Weekend" in Monterey this August, where I saw dozens of Ferraris including many 328, this was by far better than any 328 at the shows, including the Platinum Award winning 328 at Concorso Italiano. This car is for someone who wants one of the best all around Ferrari 328s available. Prospective Buyers are free to submit their "Best Offer" for the Ferrari. According to the publication Sports Car Market, “In my opinion the 328 is the best built, most reliable Ferrari ever. Period. It is the product of a dozen years of 308 experience. It was solidly constructed with a steel body welded to an oval tube frame. It featured simple Bosch fuel injection, a go/no-go electronic ignition system and an engine you serviced without removing from the car. Most important, it was the last Ferrari that could be repaired by a good import shop. The following generation of V8 Ferraris evolved into temples to high tech gadgetry. When something goes wrong with one of these technological marvels, you have to truck your car to an authorized Ferrari dealer—they’re the only place that has the computer necessary to fix your car.” Through 1986 it was legal to import European Spec Ferraris. The law was changed closing the door to these stunning vehicles. This vehicle represents the end of that era. My favorite cars off all time, dollar for dollar, are the Euro 308 QV and Euro 328. The Euro 328 are very rare with something like 100 examples in the USA today. I’d estimate there may be 10-20 Euro 328 Ferraris in the USA. These cars are spectacular to look out and will out perform the $200k Dino in every way: Performance, fit and finish, etc. This rare 328 has just 26k miles, tool roll, jack bag, space saver spare and owners manual. AC and Power Mirrors work. Power windows actually go up and down relatively quickly (unlike many Ferrari 308/328). The paint is spectacular. It simply looks too good to be original. As you can see from the close-up shots, stone chips are essentially non-existent. She shifts smoothly in all gears, including second when cold. Zero play in steering. Doors close with a solid clunk. Suspension is tight and she brakes smartly. Engine idles smooth and quietly yet she hauls butt! The 328/308 was the evolution of the Dino had was designed by the very same designer of the Dino. Its design strikes the perfect balance between grace and aggression. This 328 has the power to back up its traffic stopping looks! Interestingly, many Ferrari experts believe the 328 was the best of the recent Ferraris. They are cheap to run, rugged, don’t brake down and you could spend hours drinking a cup of coffee and just stare at them! Their ruggedness is not surprising considering the 328 was a further development of the 308 which had been around for ten years before the 328 came about. In July of 2002, Classic & Sports Cars (well-respected British publication) reviewed, among others, the Ferrari 328, and stated: “drive one and you’ll realize it is the best of the late 80’s Ferraris, far superior to the entry level Mondial, Miami Vice poseur Testarossa or the wooden-chassised 348. Styling wise, its an evolution of the 308and is a shape that is clean, unfussy and pure Ferrari. the addition of fresher looking front and rear restyles…At driving speeds, the experience is pure 308. There’s that familiarly light and communicative steering and the urgent engine, which, though uninspiring at first, transforms into pure drama as the revs rise. Once you start to push on in the 328, the improvements over the earlier car show themselves and the 328 reveals itself as a true supercar. With 30 hp more than the last of the 308s, performance is truly astounding, yet the car is always composed and refined, and the brakes, though this is a pre-ABS car, always provide huge retardation. Another joy is the viceless handling and grip from those fat, low profile tires.” If you’re like me and appreciate rolling sculpture and find the 360 to be large and blocky (Have you ever seen a 328 side by side with a 360? The 360 is BIG AND BULBOUS (thankfully the 360/430 has been replaced by the very sexy 458) compared to the svelte 328. The 328 door is hip high, the 360s is several inches taller. In fact, this 328 is 10 inches shorter than a 360, 7.5” narrower and its roof 5” shorter than a 360 spider) then this car is for you. Here’s a chance to get classic looks with modern get up and go. Why invest in the stock market when you can enjoy your Red investment? Think of this: Scarcity creates value. Over the next decade more than two billion new potential buyers will come on as the China and Indian market mature. Imagine what will happen to older Ferrari values when the current Ferrari market of less than one billion (Europe-USA-Japan) swells to more than 3 billion! Enjoy your investment. You only live once!
