I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Jaguar XJ6 finished in desirable BRG over tan. The Jaguar XJ's are beautiful automobiles that carry a nice balance of elegance and understatement at the same time. Their timeless body lines are unmistakable. I would rate the exterior of this Jaguar to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a gorgeous sedan. The finish shows very well and is not faded or oxidized like many older Jag's get. As with any used vehicle, please expect some small scratches and blemishes from daily use. Overall, there is nothing noteworthy to report on the exterior. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The power antenna does not go up. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice tires with average tread all around. I would rate the interior of this Jaguar to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door cards are clean and tight. The headliner is tight (which is unusual for older Jag's). The dash is clean and free of cracks. The carpets show well for an older vehicle. The leather seats are in good condition and are supple. Both front seats are power operated. All four seats are heated. The power windows, locks, seats and sunroof are all in proper working condition. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The stereo is original. It includes a cassette player up front with an Alpine CD changer in the trunk. This Jaguar comes with multiple keys and a set of mats. Mechanically, this Jaguar appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. Aside from some seeping at the valve cover (which is normal), I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The front end on this Jaguar is uncommonly tight for an older XJ. The suspension feels good. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this full sized luxury sedan with no issues. The engine keeps perfect temperature and oil pressure at all times. There have been no warning lights on. The engine is smooth and makes good power. Her road manners are very good. This XJ6 is equally at home roaming around country roads as it is blasting down the interstate. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she cruises nice and straight with no complaints. I don't get many of these older Jaguars because they are getting hard to find in this condition. Nothing feels quite like being behind the wheel of an older Jaguar. The muscular yet understated lines of the hood and, of course, the leaping cat at the end of the hood give the driver a feeling not found in any other automobile. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next auto purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Jaguar XJ6 finished in desirable BRG over tan. The Jaguar XJ's are beautiful automobiles that carry a nice balance of elegance and understatement at the same time. Their timeless body lines are unmistakable. I would rate the exterior of this Jaguar to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a gorgeous sedan. The finish shows very well and is not faded or oxidized like many older Jag's get. As with any used vehicle, please expect some small scratches and blemishes from daily use. Overall, there is nothing noteworthy to report on the exterior. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The power antenna does not go up. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice tires with average tread all around.
I would rate the interior of this Jaguar to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door cards are clean and tight. The headliner is tight (which is unusual for older Jag's). The dash is clean and free of cracks. The carpets show well for an older vehicle. The leather seats are in good condition and are supple. Both front seats are power operated. All four seats are heated. The power windows, locks, seats and sunroof are all in proper working condition. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The stereo is original. It includes a cassette player up front with an Alpine CD changer in the trunk. This Jaguar comes with multiple keys and a set of mats.
Mechanically, this Jaguar appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. Aside from some seeping at the valve cover (which is normal), I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The front end on this Jaguar is uncommonly tight for an older XJ. The suspension feels good. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this full sized luxury sedan with no issues. The engine keeps perfect temperature and oil pressure at all times. There have been no warning lights on. The engine is smooth and makes good power. Her road manners are very good. This XJ6 is equally at home roaming around country roads as it is blasting down the interstate. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she cruises nice and straight with no complaints. I don't get many of these older Jaguars because they are getting hard to find in this condition. Nothing feels quite like being behind the wheel of an older Jaguar. The muscular yet understated lines of the hood and, of course, the leaping cat at the end of the hood give the driver a feeling not found in any other automobile. We go out of our way to provide as detailed of a description as possible in addition to posting several dozen photos of each unit. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, you assert that you have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, you enter into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should you be the winning bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully exercised their ability to complete any diligence or any any questions needed PRIOR to placing their bid.
In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This decision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours, the vehicle may be sold to another buyer. All non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay.
Payment:
Payment is due within 7 days of the auction close.
Cash in person upon pick up is the preferred method of payment. There are other payment options for long distance buyers where paying in person is not possible. Paypal is NOT accepted for payment, nor do we have the ability to accept credit cards.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours; we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accommodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Vehicles paid with cash will be available immediately. If paid by any other method, the vehicle and title will be held until funds have been cleared by my bank.
All vehicles must be collected within 14 days of auction's end. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without a specific exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
