My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next auto purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description carefully as well as our Terms & Conditions BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each action. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2000 Volkswagen Passat GLS with the desirable 1.8T engine and manual transmission. I would rate the exterior of this vehicle to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking vehicle. It is finished in charcoal gray over black leather with optional alloy wheels. There are a few rock chips on the nose as you'd expect to find on a higher mileage vehicle. Also, the paint is a little faded on the roof which is also common at this age. Overall, she looks pretty good. There is no noteworthy damage to report on the exterior. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber all around. The tires show better than average tread. I would also rate the interior of this Passat to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well throughout the interior. The seats show minor wear but are comfortable and fully functional. The dash and headliner are clean. The trunk is spacious and clean. The power windows, locks and sunroof all appear to be working properly. The power mirrors do not respond. The retracting rear sunshade is still intact and operational. The ash tray is loose and the hinge that holds the cover on the arm rest is broken (both of which are normal for these cars as they age). The climate control system appears to be working properly. The audio system is original and also appears to be working properly. The factory remote entry system is also working properly. Mechanically, this Passat appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 1.8L turbocharged engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this sedan with no issues. There is a check engine light on for the secondary air injection fan. A used replacement runs roughly $100+- or you can delete it all together if you live somewhere that doesn't require emissions testing. The engine runs smoothly and makes good power. Her road manners are great. This VW is very nimble through the corners and is easy to drive. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the manual transmission are smooth and effortless. Out on the highway, she cruises nice and straight with no complaints. The oil is clean and I did not see any sludge built up (that is important to look for in the 1.8T). This Passat has a brand new PA safety inspection which is good through April of 2014. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2000 Volkswagen Passat GLS with the desirable 1.8T engine and manual transmission. I would rate the exterior of this vehicle to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking vehicle. It is finished in charcoal gray over black leather with optional alloy wheels. There are a few rock chips on the nose as you'd expect to find on a higher mileage vehicle. Also, the paint is a little faded on the roof which is also common at this age. Overall, she looks pretty good. There is no noteworthy damage to report on the exterior. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber all around. The tires show better than average tread.
I would also rate the interior of this Passat to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well throughout the interior. The seats show minor wear but are comfortable and fully functional. The dash and headliner are clean. The trunk is spacious and clean. The power windows, locks and sunroof all appear to be working properly. The power mirrors do not respond. The retracting rear sunshade is still intact and operational. The ash tray is loose and the hinge that holds the cover on the arm rest is broken (both of which are normal for these cars as they age). The climate control system appears to be working properly. The audio system is original and also appears to be working properly. The factory remote entry system is also working properly.
Mechanically, this Passat appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 1.8L turbocharged engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this sedan with no issues. There is a check engine light on for the secondary air injection fan. A used replacement runs roughly $100+- or you can delete it all together if you live somewhere that doesn't require emissions testing. The engine runs smoothly and makes good power. Her road manners are great. This VW is very nimble through the corners and is easy to drive. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the manual transmission are smooth and effortless. Out on the highway, she cruises nice and straight with no complaints. The oil is clean and I did not see any sludge built up (that is important to look for in the 1.8T). This Passat has a brand new PA safety inspection which is good through April of 2014. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours, the vehicle may be sold to another buyer. All non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay.
Payment:
Payment is due within 7 days of the auction close.
Cash in person upon pick up is the preferred method of payment. There are other payment options for long distance buyers where paying in person is not possible. Paypal is NOT accepted for payment, nor do we have the ability to accept credit cards.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours; we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accommodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Vehicles paid with cash will be available immediately. If paid by any other method, the vehicle and title will be held until funds have been cleared by my bank.
All vehicles must be collected within 14 days of auction's end. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without a specific exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
