froglevel29127 store 1966 Red Cadillac DeVille Convertible,429 cu V8, Auto/ Factory Air, 63,763 miles Description: 1966 Red Cadillac DeVille Convertible 429 cu V8, Auto/ Factory Air, 63,763 miles Three Owner car I have photographed hundreds of rare and classic cars over the years and this is a very nice 47-year old Cadillac that has been owned for 30 years by a retired US Air Force Colonel. He has lovingly cared for the car, and he has even loaned it to a friend to appear in a couple of Shriner Parades. No hidden secrets, as the owner knows the car well. It has an older repaint to change the color that has stood up well. The body has some rust in front of the right rear wheel well; I have a separate picture of that spot. It looks good underneath, although because the car is so low I couldn’t get a camera under it. This old Caddy is an original American icon. When not out on the road it was garage kept, covered, and spent most of its’ life in the South once it left California. The engine has 63,763 miles and has never been touched since it was made by Cadillac. That works out to about 1,200 easy going miles a year. It starts and runs smoothly. This is a great car that you could easily turn into a daily driver. There are some wear and repair issues. The rust spot would need attention, the AC needs a good going through to get to take new R134, the electric seat does not move, and the driver’s side rear window sticks in the up position. As you can see in the pictures the top goes up and down nice and smoothly. The top is in excellent condition. The interior, with the exception of a couple of issues on the dash is as nice as it was when new. It has the original AM radio. It has a new battery. It has recently been sitting in the garage because the owner is not driving it and would like to see it out on the road again. It has the parade boot, workshop manual, a cover, and the original owner’s manuals. The car is going up for auction, and if the reserve is met (or very near) the car will be sold. This is a great opportunity to own an unmolested Cadillac that you can drive now, or put through a restoration. Many more pictures are available so please let me have an email address and I will send them to you. This great old Caddy is very near the Columbia, SC airport, so you could fly in and drive it home. Or, we can arrange a transporter for you. The only thing the car is missing is Marylyn Monroe in the passenger’s seat for your ride home. Happy Motoring! THE TOP WAS LOWERED, AND IT WOULD NOT GO BACK UP. THE OWNER HAS AGREED TO GET IT REPAIRED OR MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT ON THE BIDDING PRICE.
