I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. I'm personally a Ford guy but I will admit that I've been happy with every single Dodge truck I've had...and this one is no exception. I would rate the exterior of this Ram 1500 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The most important thing is that I did not see any noteworthy rust on the body of this truck...which Dodge trucks are notorious for. The frame and underside looked pretty good from what I could see. The paint isn't the greatest. There is no major damage to report on the body, just a bunch of touch-ups and blemishes. The hood appears to be from a different truck, as do the doors. Again, it's far from perfect. It's not even pretty...but it's not rusty. The windows are tinted dark which looks good. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. This truck appears to have a body lift...maybe 4"? The factory polished wheels look good and are wrapped in $1,200 worth of Yokahama Geolanders. This truck also has about a grand worth of Westin chrome side steps and a front push bar. Overall, she is probably a ten footer. Not ugly...but may not get you any phone numbers. I would rate the interior of this truck to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door panels are clean. The carpets show well for an older truck. The seats are also clean and not worn excessively. The one tab for the plastic dome light cover is broken so it doesn't want to stay up. It is included but you'll probably want a new one. The dash is clean. The heater works great. The radio is original and works properly. The power windows, locks and mirrors appear to be working properly. Mechanically, this Ram appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 318ci V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I noticed a small drip under where I had parked it after a few days (maybe the diameter of a can of soda). The engine does not smoke. For a lifted truck, the suspension and steering feel good. The brakes stop this big truck with no problems. The exhaust appears to be aftermarket and has a smooth, deep sound. The engine keeps proper temperature and good oil pressure at all times. There are a few idiot lights on and the speedometer doesn't work. One of the lights on is the ABS light...which probably has something to do with the speedometer as most modern speedometers get their signal from one of the wheel speed sensors. The engine makes good power and runs great. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the manual transmission are smooth and easy. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she cruises well for a lifted truck. I was going to wash it for the photos but I figured it wouldn't make much of a difference. We offer a unique way of purchasing a car but it does carry additional risk to the buyer when compared to buying a vehicle at retail price from a retail dealership that has been inspected and may carry a warranty. Please understand that each vehicle we sell is being sold exactly as we received it (unless otherwise noted in the written description). We always disclose any known faults with the vehicle in our description. However, the description we provide is based solely on our observations of the vehicle during our road test. These vehicles are sold AS-IS and do not carry any sort of warranty.
Please consider this when you decide if buying from us is something you feel comfortable with. We try to eliminate as much risk as possible for our buyers but cannot offer reconditioned, warrantied vehicles for sale with No Reserve. We are happy to answer any questions from prospective buyers regarding our business or specific vehicles listed for sale and aim to make buying from us as trouble free as possible.
Bidding:
Please read the entire description and view all pictures before placing a bid. We go out of our way to provide as detailed of a description as possible in addition to posting several dozen photos of each unit. If you have any questions or concerns that have not been addressed within our listing, feel free to send us an email so that we may address your specific question before placing your bid. Please wait to place your bid until you are completely comfortable with what you're bidding on.
By placing a bid on any of our auctions, you assert that you have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, you enter into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should you be the winning bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully exercised their ability to complete any diligence or any any questions needed PRIOR to placing their bid.
In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This decision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours, the vehicle may be sold to another buyer. All non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay.
Payment:
Payment is due within 7 days of the auction close.
Cash in person upon pick up is the preferred method of payment. There are other payment options for long distance buyers where paying in person is not possible. Paypal is NOT accepted for payment, nor do we have the ability to accept credit cards.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours; we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accommodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Vehicles paid with cash will be available immediately. If paid by any other method, the vehicle and title will be held until funds have been cleared by my bank.
All vehicles must be collected within 14 days of auction's end. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without a specific exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
