Vehicle Detail
I am the original and only owner of the vehicle. I used it as my company vehicle, primarily as a commuter. > Mechanically, all items work to my knowledge (4 wheel drive, tranny, engine, etc). Radio, lights, windows, doors, etc all works. > The truck has rust on it especially on the drivers side, on back bumper, and a hole in the bed (see pictures). There is a tear under the front bumper (see pic). There is a leak (red) that I assume is from the tranny. There is a tear in the boot that covers the ball joint. Of course it has dings and small dents typical for a 12 year vehicle. > You are buying the truck as is. > You are responsible to pick up the truck (St. Louis) within 7 days of the auction. > Payment terms: Cash at time of pickup. On Mar-23-13 at 05:29:52 PDT, seller added the following information: I am the original and only owner of the vehicle. I used it as my company vehicle, primarily as a commuter. I have all maintenance and repair records for the vehicle. The oil has been changed on a regular basis, usually around every 3,500 miles. The interior is in very good condition. No rips in seats or tears in dash etc. I kept it in the garage at home and at work. It has not been smoked in. I put a new set of Michelin tires on last year. > Mechanically, all items work to my knowledge (4 wheel drive, tranny, engine, etc). Radio, lights, windows, doors, A/C, guages, cruise control, mirrors etc all works. > The truck has some rust on it especially on the drivers side, on back bumper, and a hole in the bed (see pictures). There is a tear under the front bumper (see pic). There is a slow leak (red) that I assume is from the tranny. There is a tear in the boot that covers the ball joint. Of course it has a few dings and small dents typical for a 12 year vehicle. The drivers floor mat will need to be replaced. > You are buying the truck as is. > You are responsible to pick up the truck (St. Louis) within 7 days of the auction. > Payment terms: Cash at time of pickup. On Mar-23-13 at 15:31:24 PDT, seller added the following information: The truck also has a factory tow package. On Mar-25-13 at 06:22:27 PDT, seller added the following information: A question was raised about the engine in the truck. It is the small V8 (4.7L), NOT the 5.9L. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused. On Mar-25-13 at 13:28:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Another question came up regarding interior color. It is indeed grey, NOT tan as the pictures illustrate. I have another truck that has a tan interior and got them switched. Sorry about that.On Mar-25-13 at 13:34:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Yet another question came up regarding the tires. I purchased 4 P265/70R-16 Michelin LTX M/S2 last July. I would guess the tires have about 6,000 miles on them. They ride great, are quiet, smooth and handle well. On Mar-27-13 at 14:29:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Answers to additional questions: 1) Is the truck safe to drive distances? I would have no concern taking a long trip with it. My wife and I took a trip to Utah the summer before last and had no trouble at all. Last summer, my wife, 2 kids, and I took a trip to Colorado with no problem. I would be confident making either of those trips this summer. 2) Does the engine use oil? The engine runs very well. When I purchased the truck new, part of my negotiations with the dealer was lifetime oil changes, so I change the oil every 3,000 miles generally. Occasionally it might slip up to 3,800 miles or so. Right now the I am at 3,000 miles since the last oil change. I checked the dipstick this morning before coming to work and it is at the top of the full line. I will say that I didn't check the level immediately after the dealer changed the oil. If the dealer filled it to the top of the full line, then the truck doesn't use oil. If the dealer overfilled it, then it does use some because it is at the top of the full with 3,000 miles on it. 3) How much of a leak is there from the tranny? Over the past year, the truck has leaked enough to create an oil ring of about 12". I know this isn't that much, but it makes a 12" mess in my garage. I don't like leaks, period. I've never had to add tranny fluid between flushes, its just an annoyance. If I were to keep it, I would get the seal replaced cause I don't like leaks. 4) The vehicle report says there were 2 owners and there is a lien. What's up with that? Frankly, I don't know. I am the original and only owner. The truck has never had a lien. I have the receipt from the dealer to prove this. The only possibility is that I titled the truck in my companies name as a company vehicle. Perhaps the DMV considers me the person as the first owner and my company as the second owner. I simply don't know. It baffles me. But to be clear... one owner (me) and clear title, which I have in my possession with no lien.
