I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the rare Orvis package. The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the most recognized SUV's in the world and has earned a reputation as a rugged and reliable SUV. In my opinion, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the best values available in a used SUV. I would rate the exterior of this Grand Cherokee Orvis to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking Jeep. Orvis Green is one of my favorite colors. The paint has a mile deep shine and looks good. There is a light scrape visible along the right side body cladding. Otherwise, there is no noteworthy damage to report on the exterior of this Jeep. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloys show some clear coat issues but look okay. The tires are in good condition and show nice tread all around. Please take the time to review each of the photos carefully. This is a great looking rare Jeep. I would rate the interior of this Jeep to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The first thing you'll notice when you open the door is the color scheme which is unique to the Orvis Package. What makes this one a little more special is the tan dash and console which is hard to find. The door panels are clean and intact. The only wear visible on the door panels is a small spot on the arm rest of the drivers door panel which is common with all Grand Cherokees. Of course, the seats are two tone green over tan leather with red piping and look great. The front seats are both power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, seats and mirrors appear to be in good working condition. The carpets show well throughout the interior and the cargo area is spacious and clean. The wood trim shows well throughout the interior. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The stereo head unit has been removed by the previous owner. I am trying to locate an original Infinity CD deck but will include an aftermarket CD player if I cannot find a good factory one in time. If I include an aftermarket unit, all you'll need to do it get the proper harness and hook it up. Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running and driving condition. I've personally put around 300 miles on this Jeep. The 318ci V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Out on the road, this Jeep has pretty good road manners. The Up Country suspension feels tight. The steering is tight and responsive...not loose like many older Jeeps. The brakes stop this SUV with no issues. The engine keeps proper temperature at all times and excellent oil pressure. The Quadra-Trac Full Time 4WD system feels good and is working properly. Out on the highway, this Jeep cruises nice and straight with no complaints. The engine makes great power. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. This is one of the nicest driving Grand Cherokee's I've had in some time. It has good PA safety and emissions stickers, too. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the rare Orvis package. The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the most recognized SUV's in the world and has earned a reputation as a rugged and reliable SUV. In my opinion, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the best values available in a used SUV. I would rate the exterior of this Grand Cherokee Orvis to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking Jeep. Orvis Green is one of my favorite colors. The paint has a mile deep shine and looks good. There is a light scrape visible along the right side body cladding. Otherwise, there is no noteworthy damage to report on the exterior of this Jeep. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloys show some clear coat issues but look okay. The tires are in good condition and show nice tread all around. Please take the time to review each of the photos carefully. This is a great looking rare Jeep.
I would rate the interior of this Jeep to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The first thing you'll notice when you open the door is the color scheme which is unique to the Orvis Package. What makes this one a little more special is the tan dash and console which is hard to find. The door panels are clean and intact. The only wear visible on the door panels is a small spot on the arm rest of the drivers door panel which is common with all Grand Cherokees. Of course, the seats are two tone green over tan leather with red piping and look great. The front seats are both power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, seats and mirrors appear to be in good working condition. The carpets show well throughout the interior and the cargo area is spacious and clean. The wood trim shows well throughout the interior. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The stereo head unit has been removed by the previous owner. I am trying to locate an original Infinity CD deck but will include an aftermarket CD player if I cannot find a good factory one in time. If I include an aftermarket unit, all you'll need to do it get the proper harness and hook it up.
Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running and driving condition. I've personally put around 300 miles on this Jeep. The 318ci V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Out on the road, this Jeep has pretty good road manners. The Up Country suspension feels tight. The steering is tight and responsive...not loose like many older Jeeps. The brakes stop this SUV with no issues. The engine keeps proper temperature at all times and excellent oil pressure. The Quadra-Trac Full Time 4WD system feels good and is working properly. Out on the highway, this Jeep cruises nice and straight with no complaints. The engine makes great power. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. This is one of the nicest driving Grand Cherokee's I've had in some time. It has good PA safety and emissions stickers, too. We go out of our way to provide as detailed of a description as possible in addition to posting several dozen photos of each unit. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, you assert that you have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, you enter into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should you be the winning bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully exercised their ability to complete any diligence or any any questions needed PRIOR to placing their bid.
In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This decision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours, the vehicle may be sold to another buyer. All non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay.
Payment:
Payment is due within 7 days of the auction close.
Cash in person upon pick up is the preferred method of payment. There are other payment options for long distance buyers where paying in person is not possible. Paypal is NOT accepted for payment, nor do we have the ability to accept credit cards.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours; we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accommodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Vehicles paid with cash will be available immediately. If paid by any other method, the vehicle and title will be held until funds have been cleared by my bank.
All vehicles must be collected within 14 days of auction's end. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without a specific exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
