Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE AUCTION! This 1981 Chevrolet Corvette is the last model year with a carburetor. This was restored to near new condition for my daughter. After completion she decided that she would rather have a 1966 Mustang...so I restored one of those as well and surprised her with it on her birthday. Here is some of the changes: * Edelbrock Performer Heads (largest available that still meet CA smog)* Matching Edelbrok Intake Mainifold* Mild Cam* Forged Crankshaft* Rejetted and tuned Carburetor.* Dino Tuned (Upped Horsepower and torque to about 50% higher than stock...the car is fast, stock was only 190 hp and 179 torque at the flywheel. This is pushing 278 hp and 258 torque at the rear wheels)* Shaved doors. They open with a push button remote.* New One piece top. I have the old glass t tops (cracked), but the hardware is good for restoration is you so wish.* The transmission has a shift kit in it for more solid shifting* Less than 500 miles on car since restoration Some restoration items that were addressed: * Complete Engine Rebuild* Complete Transmission Rebuild* Complete Steering Column Rebuild* New Paint* New Stereo, speakers and wires* New Brakes front and back* New tires, BG Goodrich 22570R15* Wheel restoration with retro inner Knock off Spinners* New Catalytic Converter* New EGR Valve* New Aluminum Radiator* New Plug Wires* New Flywheel* New Power Steering ram, idler arms, tie rod ends, pitman arm (4 wheel aligned)* New Carpet throughout* New Steering wheel with new horn button assembly* New rear window All this work was done in house by my General Motor Certified Mechanic. I have put over $14,000 into this vehicle not including an enormous amount of labor. Known flaws: In the pictures you will see a small bubble in the paint on the hood and small scratches in the lower portion of the windshield (below view level where the window interior is painted black). This vehicle is in beautiful shape, is fast, and a real head turner. Yes, the license plate will go to the highest bidder attached to the car.
