Vehicle Detail
Vehicle is a 1969 Camaro SS-350 Coupe, non- A/C , project car. I have owned this vehicle for 31 years. This vehicle spent a portion of its life as a drag car and is still equipped with a 3-point roll bar, cowl hood, front drum brakes, trunk mounted battery tray, and a brake lock solenoid. The body of this vehicle has a 12A build date code (December, 1st week) from the Norwood Ohio assembly plant, was originally painted Rallye Green, and equipped with a black vinyl top. Although the vehicle has been at least partially repainted, it still retains a black vinyl top. The VIN plate is secure and matches the partial VIN under the wiper cowl. The vehicle was originally equipped with the interior trim code 712 (Black, Custom Bucket). Currently the vehicle has a black interior with front bucket seats, rear bench seat, dash, and carpet. The vehicle has the wood grained trim on the instrument cluster, steering wheel shroud, and passenger side dash which would indicate the Z87 Custom Interior. The instrument cluster includes a tachometer which redlines at 5000 RPM with a max of 7000 RPM, and an odometer which reads 32,884 miles. The chassis of this vehicle has multi-leaf rear springs, 4-wheel drum brakes, a brake proportioning valve (mounted in the rear brake line), and the fast steer option with a manual steering gear that measures 3.5 turns lock to lock, and a pitman arm which measures 5.75” center to center. The original powertrain for this vehicle was a V-8 engine backed by a Muncie transmission. Currently, the engine and transmission are absent, and consequently, not included in this sale. This vehicle is equipped with a 12-bolt rear axle which has a Positraction tag at the axle fill plug. Also available for sale: Muncie M22 Rockcrusher Transmission, and a GM, used, in a GM box, excellent condition, hood for any 1969 Camaro.
