This gorgeous 1931 Ford Model A was just recently traded in here to our dealership. We know very little about this vehicle other than what the last owner informed us of and we have listed it below. I can tell you that this is an awesome looking car that will make someone a very good show car. I have observed a few minor flaws in the vehicle. The flaws pertain to very small paint chips in the front fenders and I counted 3 total and they are small fleck spots, nothing major. The Info below is what we have and what was shared with us. You will not be disappointed in this unique and remarkable piece of history!
1931 Ford Model A History
• This ford Model A is an original all Arizona car that was purchased in Tempe Arizona in 2006.
• Purchased in 2006
• The engine was rebuilt prior to purchasing it and it has 2,000 miles on it.
• In 2007, a complete off frame restoration was done on it. Any replacement parts that were used were purchased from Brattons Model A parts located in Maryland.
• The interior was purchase from Labarron & Bonny in New England and they have the original interior designs and colors for that time period that Henry ford used.
• The painting was completed at First Class Auto Body in Gillette Wy. Using PPG paint.
o It is base coat/clear coat application.
o The two tones of green are the same as the original paint application.
• The paint is the original color that ford had painted it and we were able to get the PPG codes to match it from Ford Motor Company.
• The only non-original work done during this restorations was as followed;
o The floor boards are made out of Birch wood versus oak.
o I converted to a 12 volt system.
o I installed a header over the front windshield for a stereo. It is made of Birch wood as well.
o I replaced the hood with a new one.
o I purchased the tool box in the front of the vehicle.
o The wood kit was a complete replacement.
