1937 PLYMOUTH FOUR-DOOR SEDAN FULLY CUSTOM ALL STEEL STREET ROD What you are bidding on is a fully customized 1937 Plymouth four-door "all steel" sedan. This car was originally found in a barn in 1988 and driven home. It was owned and garaged by the same family for 24 years. It has been driven only for cruises and shows where it has won many awards including numerous "Best of Show" and "People’s Choice" awards. The car was featured in Cruizin’ magazine in the 90's and has also been featured on various car show promotional T-shirts and dash plaques. This is a frame-off build with dozens of custom body modifications that have resulted in a completely unique, one-of-a-kind showstopper. Below is a partial list of some of the unique touches: Body: Paint on this vehicle is a Corvette white lower half with custom candy apple paint upper half consisting of a sterling silver base coat with a multilayer clear mixed with violet. Some of the body modifications include: Hand-fabricated all steel front grill (nose clip) Headlights, parking lights and brake lights are all recessed into the body Custome one-piece hood Door handles are shaved and vent windows are removed One piece windshield and rear glass Hand-built rear bumper Custom running boards Trunk lid swings open to the side Interior: The interior is a medium gray cloth with matching buckets front and rear. Other custom modifications include the following: Custom built headliner Custom walnut dash inserts Classic gauges GM tilt steering column B and M shifter Engine and Drive Train: The engine is a 1972 Chrysler 360 cid professionally built by a race car engine builder and has less than 4,000 miles. Engine specifications include the following: Bored .030 Balanced and blue-printed Heads are equipped with over sized stainless steel valves cc’d with crane roller rockers All intake and exhaust ports are enlarged and polished, with the intake ports and pistons teflon coated Double roller rocker timing chain Edelbrock intake manifold and carb Walker custom built aluminum radiator with shift kit Transmission is a 727 torqueflight with shift kit Underbody mounted transmission cooler with fan Mustang II front end and Ford 9" rear end with four bar hook-up with coil springs front and rear Other: Other customizations include: 15" Enkei wheels Purple neon lights under the car and in trunk In-dash 6 disc Nakamichi cd changer with dual MTX amplifiers, Kicker 8" subwoofers and custom front door pods Stainless steel firewall and side panels in the engine compartment Everthing, and I mean everything, on this car works!
