1956 Oldsmobile 88. This car underwent a complete restoration in the 90's and the owner passed away shortly after. It has been garage kept until about six months ago. Since then It has had a complete tune-up, the fuel tank (which appears to be new) has been drained and flushed. The original 4-jet carb has been replaced with a 600 cfm Edelbrock and manual choke. The interior was done during the original restoration, and is very nice. The 324 V8 starts easy and runs great with no leaks and no smoke. Transmission (4-speed automatic) shifts smooth and does not slip. All lights and turn signals work, including the backup lights. It has power steering, power brakes, heater, and the original radio which also works. The fuel gauge does not work. It does need some minor body work and a re-paint. There is some body filler around the left taillight and along the front edge of the hood that is cracked and bubbling. There is another virtually rust free hood that goes with the car, along with an extra trunk lid, another set of hubcaps, original door panels, and various other chrome and parts. All of the chrome on the car is excellent, with the exception of the rear bumper which has been re-conditioned and is ready to be plated. The tires appear to have very few miles on them, but they have been on the car a long time and are showing some deterioration.
