This body style is sometimes called a “Ponton”.The 220s features an inline 6 cylinder, approx. 2.2 liter gas engine with twin carburetors, aluminum head, hardened valve seats and other state of the art features which gave this engine a legendary reputation for toughness and longevity. I purchased this car in 1982 with a salvaged title from the owner of Trans European Motors in Napa. The car has been garaged for the last 30 years and has been driven very little since its purchase. This car runs well and looks good, but it is not fully restored. Seats are not original. Carburetor and fuel pump have been rebuilt. Brake master cylinder, all slave cylinders, brake pads and brake hoses were installed new in 2005. The interior wood around the dash and windows was refinished in 2006. New carpeting and headliner with Dynamat soundproofing added to floor and roof of the car in 2007. Everything works except the heater boxes, which need to be rebuilt, and the cigarette lighter. The body is straight. I've only found one small patch of bondo on one of the fenders. The odometer shows 10014 but I have no way of knowing the actual mileage on the car.
