This is a classic 1954 Renault 4cv sedan. In great drivable condition. Developed in secrecy during the German occupation of WWII. The 4cv went on to become the first french car to sell over 1,000,000 units in the post war years. This car is an older restoration and was recently imported from Holland. The Body is in excellent condition with no signs of any rust or damage or previous repairs. The underside looks completely clean. The body has a couple of very minor dings and scratches. The paint is older and has some blemishes but generally is very nice and presentable. There is some very slight checking of the paint in spots. The Glass is all excellent. The chrome is fair with some pitting and both bumpers have some dings and dents. In general the car looks great with a nice bit of age to it. The Interior is in very nice condition. The dash, original rubber floor mat and front seats are all very nice. For some reason the rear bench seat has no upholstery on it and will need to be re-done. The headliner appears to be original and in mostly very nice condition with just a few small rips. Door panels are decent. The rubber door check straps are broken. The engine starts easy and runs great. It leaks a little oil from around the valve cover area. The cooling system works great, the temperature gauge does work but seems to read on the low side and it may need a sending unit. The speedometer and fuel gauge work. The clutch and brakes work great. The gearbox shifts through all gears great but the 2nd gear synchro is just a bit slow, If you shift too quick it will crunch, Shift just a little slower and no problems. The speedometer works (in KPH) The mileage on the odometer is 83987 kilometers. The 6V electrics work great. The charging system works. The battery is new. All the lights, horn and wipers work. The wheels are in great condition and it has a good spare and tools. The Michelin ZX 135 SR15 tyres are decent with plenty of tread. The heater is missing some of the metal ducting in the engine compartment so is not currently working. There is a rubber trim piece missing on the upper left rear door. Overall this car is in extremely nice condition and is quite usable as a regular driver. It was only recently legally imported from Europe and has not yet been licensed in the USA but it does come with its original Dutch paperwork and the customs and EPA forms needed to get it licensed. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and arrangements. I am willing to help as needed. I highly recommend and encourage a personal inspection if possible.
