I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions before asking questions and before bidding. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1989 Jeep Wrangler 4x4. The Jeep Wrangler needs no introduction. It enjoys a reputation known around the world as one of the most capable and reliable SUV's ever made. I would rate the exterior of this Wrangler to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a good looking Jeep. It is finished in black with the optional hard top and hard doors. The paint is a little dull but does't look bad. There are no scratches, dents or scrapes worth mentioning. I did not see any body rust on the exterior of this Jeep except for a little on the windshield frame. The hard top looks to be in good condition. It looks as if this Jeep also comes with a complete soft top. I did not take the time to pull all of the pieces out to verify their presence and condition but it looks to all be there. The glass and lenses all appear to be intact. The chrome grill and front bumper look good. The factory steel wheels are wrapped in over sized tires. Tread is average all around. I would rate the interior of this Jeep to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. There is a rip in the drivers seat. The dash looks good. The floors could use cleaned if that's important to you. The doors open and close properly. The radio is an aftermarket CD player. The climate control seems to do what it wants. The fan blows and the directional lever seems to work but the temperature lever seems stuck over on "cold". When you try to move it over to "hot", it just bounces back to cold. There isn't too much to say about the interior of an early Wrangler...but that's the point. Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.2L inline six starts up and runs smoothly. I would say this Jeep could benefit from a normal "tune up". It is a little hard to start cold and runs rough for a minute until it settles down. The engine keeps proper temperature and good oil pressure at all times. At part throttle cruising, it sputters sometimes. Again, it feels like it needs a tune up. The air filter looks dirty and the plug wires look like they haven't been replaced in a while. I also know little about adjusting a carb'd engine. It makes good power when you crack it open, though. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the manual transmission are smooth. The 4WD is tested and working properly. It appears to have a small body lift (maybe 3"). It will easily cruise at highway speeds and handles well. The suspension feels like a Wrangler. The steering is neutral, responsive and easy. Vehicles paid with cash will be available immediately. If paid by any other method, the vehicle and title will be held until funds have been cleared by my bank.
All vehicles must be collected within 14 days of auction's end. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without a specific exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
