Vehicle Detail
I had to end the item to change the pictures. Sorry to the 1 person who had bid. Now has new updated pictures after heater core install and cleaning the interior a bit. 1985 Mustang LX 5.0 5 Speed. This is an original black 8 cylinder car, not a 4 cylinder conversion. No kind of rust anywhere. Torque boxes in great shape. It has a rebuilt 306 with less than 20,000 miles. Heads completely rebuilt with new larger valves and a bowl blend. Underdrive pullies, new distributor and MSD coil, new brake booster, new upgraded Tuff Stuff 100 amp alternator. If your looking to go back with A/C I have all the stock brackets and bolts for the A/C and alternator. It has a Tremec 3550 5 speed with a Steeda Triax shifter, a new clutch and pressure plate, new adjustable clutch quadrant and new clutch cable. New aluminum Ford Motorsport drive shaft, poly motor mounts, electric fan, under drive pulleys, new Edelbrock performer intake and Holley 650 DP carb. Car runs well and looks good. Not a show car but with a little interior work it would be a very nice driver. With that in mind if the winner wishes to have new seat upholstery they can add $600 to the purchase price and I will reupholster all the seats with new GT seat upholstery, front and back. there is a crack in the windshield but windshields are cheap for these cars. Other than that there are no issues I can think of. The engine is a roller engine with Eagle rods, TRW forged pistons and has been balanced. Please don't waste your time and insult my intelligence by offering $2000 for the car. The opening bid is the lowest I will go I have no problem keeping the car. I am not hard up for money. I would consider a trade for a 4 wheel drive truck preferably extended cab or a classic. The car does have subframe connectors. In the picture of the underside you can see one. The car also has double adjustable upper control arms in the rear and Southside lift bars. Also has a Holley electric fuel pump with regulator and braided fuel line. Car has an 8.8 rear end with Moser forged axles and either 3.73 or 4.10 gears. Also has longtube headers with a Mac Prochamber H Pipe and Flowmaster 40 mufflers. Has a nice aggressive tone but not obnoxiously loud. Paint in the door jambs looks nice.
