Where do I start with this car!! Listing for my son. I bought this car from a gentleman who had the car for app 9 years. The body came from Colorado and as far as I can tell and what I was told ALL panels are original to the car except the rear quarters. This car was done at a body shop and believe it or not app 8 years ago! Still showing very well, the car is straight and the vinyl top was redone the same time the car was. As well as the headliner dashpad and carpet.. When the restoration was done the drive train was also done. And she is pretty stout, but does not overheat or do anything silly. This car is pretty fast. I saw a time slip from the person I bought the car from in the tune of 13.80 and this was with street tires, exhaust and NO special tuning! The engine has a fair size cam in it and I was told ALL internals were redone at the time of restoration. The transmission was also redone at the same time as well as a shift kit and stall converter and the rear end is a 8 and 3/4 with suregrip and 3.91 gears, YES TRACTION IS A PROBLEM!!! I myself have driven this car 4 hours one way with NO problems and none of the power train does anything funny to make you hesitate driving it anywhere. This is a nice base coat clear coat paint job done with PPG and yes at a body shop. The floorboards are original and looking good and the trunk is all original and looks pretty good. A few things need attention. Blower motor to heater may just need a fuse, never checked(not driven in winter) the rear tires are getting down there and the gas gauge does not work all the time. But the doors open and close nice.The glass is all nice. The carpet and headliner are nice and dash pad looks good. Needs seat covers and sill plates and a console lid to complete the interior. Brakes and front end of course have been redone and runs and drives down the road pretty nice for a 40 year old car!! Save your self ALOT of time and money. Don't buy a junker for $10,000. The small details to finish this car could be done by anyone. I bought the car and my son bought it from me against my wishes, Now he is thinking he would rather have a $5,000.00 Harley a cheaper truck and car. So partial bike trades would be considered. After 8 years there is one small bubble on rocker where new quarter was attached (no prob to fix) That means pretty nice body work! My body shop guy was really impressed with the car and how straight it is! Always in garage since restoration and in 8 years there has been app 8,000 miles put on everything that was done. NEVER driven in rain. You will not be disappointed with this car. Engine compartment was done as well etc.... Dyno mat in between carpet etc.. And a good working CD player and speakers are installed. Comes with some extra stuff as well! I will not BS you. No you are not going to steal this ultra nice Dodge Challenger!! But you will get good value at a reasonable buy it now price! Reserve is not mush less then the buy it now. So please low ballers, dreamers want a B's if you can not afford this toy DO NOT waste your time or mine! Buy yourself a $8,000 heap and spend $20,000 trying to restore it! This is killing my son, but as his father it is my job to give good advice. Do I want this car. You bet! But my work is sketchy at best and I just spent $8,300 on a dirtbike! This restoration is app 8 years old, but let me tell you. It has been garaged for those 8 years and not driven in rain and the paint shows as if it were just done! The body is straight and upon inspection underneath you will be happy! This car from what I can tell and from the last owner is sporting its original floorboards and trunk floor and looking good! The trunk extensions look great as well. Save yourself a bundle and hit the buy it now. Most of my auctions end with a simple buy it now. Because I price my buy it now reasonable and real close to my reserve. These photos really do not do the car justice. I also forgot. Includes some other items as well. The owners manual is in the glove box. Some nice used factory tips, new trim rings for the wheels, front and rear bumperettes, trunk jack instruction decal and a nice used mirror and some other stuff. The engine to me feels like it is putting out app 400 horsepower and has headers with full duel exhaust and no exhaust leaks and a very very nice loap from the cam. Throttle response is very good! And this puppy revs QUICK like a small block. Does NOT overheat! You can drive in a parade in 100 degree weather with no problems! DO NOT hesitate to call me directly with any questions!
