I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please take the time to read this entire description BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE placing a bid. Most of what I sell are new car trades from larger local dealers and are sold "as-traded". Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 2000 Dodge Dakota Sport with the extended cab and V8 Magnum engine. I would rate the exterior of this Dakota to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. The white finish shows well. There is a small spot of rust at the front of the left fender and a small hole in the back corner of the bed. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The alloy wheels show well. The tires look good all around and show average tread. I would rate the interior of this Dakota to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age. The dash and headliner are clean. The seats show well and are comfortable. The latch to the center arm rest lid is broken so it won't latch closed. This truck is optioned with power windows, locks and mirrors. The stereo is original and sounds good. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The windows are tinted for privacy which give this truck a nice look. There is room behind the seats for extra passengers or stuff. Mechanically, this Dakota has been a bit of a pain for me. When I purchased this truck, it was running hot on the way back to my facility. I let it cool down over night and decided to look into it the next day. I topped off the coolant and fired it up to see what it would do. The truck warmed up to temp but no coolant was flowing so I shut it off. I had the radiator pulled to see if it was blocked...and sure enough, it was clogged up. I had the radiator replaced and filled everything back up. I took it up to put gas in it and steam began coming out from under the hood...but the temp was fine. I drove back to my shop. When I arrived back, there was no more steam...temp was still fine so I drove back to the gas station. Upon arriving at the gas station again, there was most steam...temp still fine. I put gas in it and drove it more. As I drove down the highway, the temp got pretty hot but it didn't overheat. I left it sit over night and drove it back up to my shop. It got really hot again and was spewing steam everywhere. I buy 10-15 cars per week and have better things to do with my time than mess with this truck forever...so I'm cutting it loose as-is. The engine makes great power and holds perfect oil pressure. The coolant is clean. The oil is clean. It drives nice and straight with no issues. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly through all gears. The 4WD is tested and working properly. It has a new battery and new radiator. If you live more than 30 minutes from my facility, you should plan to tow it home based on my experience. I just don't have the time to mess with it myself.
