I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Most of what I sell are new car trades from larger dealerships and are sold "as-traded". Please take the time to read this entire description carefully BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE placing a bid. Each description is unique and contains information specific to the vehicle being sold. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1988 Ford F-150 2WD with a regular cab and an 8' bed. The Ford F-Series trucks need no introduction. I would rate the exterior of this F-150 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, she cleans up pretty well for an older truck. The two tone red and white finish shines well compared to most. There is a dent in front of the wheel opening on the right side of the bed which is kind of hard to see in the photos. The bed shows obvious signs of use as you'd expect to find in a truck. Body rust on this truck is absolutely minimal and looks to just be a few small spots where the paint has been rubbed through...I did not see any bubbles or rot on the body. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The insert for the tail gate in in the bed. The wheel covers show well. This truck sports a matching set of premium tires with deep tread all around. The chrome on the mirrors and front bumper shows well. I would rate the interior of this truck to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you'd expect on an older truck, the seat is faded and has a few stains. However, it is not torn like most of these get. The door panels are intact. The floors show age but should clean up well. This truck has the optional sliding rear window as well as a gun rack. It has intermittent wipers. The radio does not seem to do anything. The heater works well. This truck comes with a pair of keys as well as the original key code tag from the factory. In the glove box are a full set of owners manuals in their original packet. This truck has had the same owner for quite some time. I found insurance cards and receipts dating back more than a decade. Mechanically, this truck appears to be in good running and driving condition. This truck is set up with the big and tough 300ci strait six engine with a four speed manual transmission behind it. The engine starts easily and runs well. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The suspension feels tight. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this truck with no issues. This truck has excellent road manners. She drives nice and straight down the road. The clutch is tough (as most older Fords are) and engages smoothly without any chatter or slipping. Gear changes through the manual transmission are smooth. The engine keeps proper temperature and good oil pressure. This truck has dual fuel tanks which appear to both be working. I couldn't get over how nice this truck drives. She feels solid and drives with confidence. Highway cruising is nice and easy with no complaints. The mileage on the odometer shows 60,XXX currently. This is a five digit odometer so I'm guessing actual mileage is 160,XXX since they automatically roll over to "0" when they turn past 99,999. The clutch is tough (as most older Fords are) and engages smoothly without any chatter or slipping. Gear changes through the manual transmission are smooth. The engine keeps proper temperature and good oil pressure. This truck has dual fuel tanks which appear to both be working. I couldn't get over how nice this truck drives. She feels solid and drives with confidence. Highway cruising is nice and easy with no complaints. The mileage on the odometer shows 60,XXX currently. This is a five digit odometer so I'm guessing actual mileage is 160,XXX since they automatically roll over to "0" when they turn past 99,999. Bidding:
Read the entire description and view all pictures before placing a bid. It does not do you or us any good if you win an auction on an item that does not fit your needs or has disclosed flaws that you are not comfortable with.
By placing a bid on any of our auctions, you assert that you have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, you enter into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should you be the winning bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully exercised their ability to complete any diligence or any any questions needed PRIOR to placing their bid.
In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This decision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If arrangements have not been made, we reserve the right to open an unpaid item case with eBay and sell the vehicle to someone else.
Payment:
Payment is due within 7 days of the auction close.
Cash is the preferred method of payment. Other payment arrangements may be made, please contact us for details. Paypal is NOT accepted for payment, nor do we have the ability to accept credit cards.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours; we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accommodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Vehicles paid with cash will be available immediately. If paid by any other method, the vehicle and title will be held until funds have been cleared by my bank.
All vehicles must be collected within 14 days of auction's end. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without a specific exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
