My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please take the time to read this entire description BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE bidding. I sell mostly new car trades from larger local dealerships and sell each one "as-traded". Each description is unique and contains specific information about the vehicle being sold. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1990 Volvo 240DL. The Volvo 240 is a part of an extinct breed of vehicle that is getting very difficult to find in good shape. I was very excited to come across this low mileage example of a great Volvo 240 Estate. I would rate the exterior of this Volvo to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a good looking Volvo. The black exterior shows well. There are visible blemishes in the finish on the hood and roof of this vehicle which can only be seen up close. There is a scratch down the drivers side. Otherwise, the exterior shows well. There are no noticable dents on the exterior. There is no rust visible on the exterior of this Volvo either. I don't have a lift to get under it but I did hold the camera under the car to show the under side which also looks to be free of rust. The glass and lenses appear to be intact. The factory wheel covers look good. The tires have good tread all around. The rears are snow tires. These vehicles are getting hard to find in this condition. I would rate the interior of this Volvo 240 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door panels look good. The plastic door pockets have gotten brittle over time and are broken as most do. The carpet is in decent shape for the age of this vehicle. The drivers seat is showing some age but is still comfortable. The other seats are in excellent condition. The factory radio has been upgraded with an Alpine unit which sounds great. The heater works great. Both front seats are heated. The cargo area is spacious and clean. The hatch struts are weak. The simplicity of an older vehicle is refreshing, honestly. I absolutely love driving this wagon. A complete set of manuals are included with this vehicle. The doors open and close with a firm and solid feel that nothing has anymore. Mechanically, this Volvo 240 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The bullet proof 2.3L four cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. There are very few vehicles in the world capable of lasting one million miles...this is among them. The timing belt service was done on time at 110k miles. The suspension feels tight. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this vehicle with no issues. The road manners of this Volvo are excellent. She drives down the road nice and straight. The engine keeps proper temperature and there are no warning lights on. Out on the highway, this Volvo makes plenty of power and drives well. She cruises easily at highway speeds and drives nice with no complaints. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please take the time to read this entire description BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE bidding. I sell mostly new car trades from larger local dealerships and sell each one "as-traded". Each description is unique and contains specific information about the vehicle being sold. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1990 Volvo 240DL. The Volvo 240 is a part of an extinct breed of vehicle that is getting very difficult to find in good shape. I was very excited to come across this low mileage example of a great Volvo 240 Estate. I would rate the exterior of this Volvo to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a good looking Volvo. The black exterior shows well. There are visible blemishes in the finish on the hood and roof of this vehicle which can only be seen up close. There is a scratch down the drivers side. Otherwise, the exterior shows well. There are no noticable dents on the exterior. There is no rust visible on the exterior of this Volvo either. I don't have a lift to get under it but I did hold the camera under the car to show the under side which also looks to be free of rust. The glass and lenses appear to be intact. The factory wheel covers look good. The tires have good tread all around. The rears are snow tires. These vehicles are getting hard to find in this condition.
I would rate the interior of this Volvo 240 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door panels look good. The plastic door pockets have gotten brittle over time and are broken as most do. The carpet is in decent shape for the age of this vehicle. The drivers seat is showing some age but is still comfortable. The other seats are in excellent condition. The factory radio has been upgraded with an Alpine unit which sounds great. The heater works great. Both front seats are heated. The cargo area is spacious and clean. The hatch struts are weak. The simplicity of an older vehicle is refreshing, honestly. I absolutely love driving this wagon. A complete set of manuals are included with this vehicle. The doors open and close with a firm and solid feel that nothing has anymore.
Mechanically, this Volvo 240 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The bullet proof 2.3L four cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. There are very few vehicles in the world capable of lasting one million miles...this is among them. The timing belt service was done on time at 110k miles. The suspension feels tight. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this vehicle with no issues. The road manners of this Volvo are excellent. She drives down the road nice and straight. The engine keeps proper temperature and there are no warning lights on. Out on the highway, this Volvo makes plenty of power and drives well. She cruises easily at highway speeds and drives nice with no complaints. It feels firmly planted on the road and drives with confidence. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

We offer a unique way of purchasing a car but it does carry additional risk to the buyer when compared to buying a vehicle from a retail dealership that has been inspected and may carry a warranty. Please understand that each vehicle we sell is being sold exactly as we received it (unless otherwise noted in the written description). We include any known faults with the vehicle in our description. However, the description we provide is based solely on our observations of the vehicle during our road test and should not be taken as any kind of official inspection done by a certified mechanic. These vehicles are sold AS-IS and do not carry any sort of warranty.
Please consider this when you decide if buying from us is something you feel comfortable with. We try to eliminate as much risk as possible for our buyers but cannot offer reconditioned, warrantied vehicles for sale with No Reserve. We are happy to answer any questions from prospective buyers regarding our business or specific vehicles listed for sale and aim to make buying from us as trouble free as possible.
Bidding:
Read the entire description and view all pictures before placing a bid. It does not do you or us any good if you win an auction on an item that does not fit your needs or has disclosed flaws that you are not comfortable with.
By placing a bid on any of our auctions, you assert that you have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, you enter into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should you be the winning bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully exercised their ability to complete any diligence or any any questions needed PRIOR to placing their bid.
In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This decision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If arrangements have not been made, we reserve the right to open an unpaid item case with eBay and sell the vehicle to someone else.
Payment:
Payment is due within 7 days of the auction close.
Cash is the preferred method of payment. Other payment arrangements may be made, please contact us for details. Paypal is NOT accepted for payment, nor do we have the ability to accept credit cards.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours; we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accommodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Vehicles paid with cash will be available immediately. If paid by any other method, the vehicle and title will be held until funds have been cleared by my bank.
All vehicles must be collected within 14 days of auction's end. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without a specific exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
