Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Car: 1969 Ford Talladega, car has been re-bodied with the use of a donor car. I have documentation, vin plates and Ford Special Vehicle tags for the Talladega. Car has proper Holman Moody installed rocker panels, front sheet metal, and rear frame brace for staggered shocks installed. The body is solid with a few very small rust holes in the lower rear ¼ and the rear trunk and drivers floor. Body has subframe connectors and a full cage installed but the door bars are not welded in yet. The right front fender has had major reconstructive work done and is still in bare metal, requires factory lead work redone. New fuel tank, new front and rear brakes, rotors, bearings, ball joints, brake hoses, ball joints, front calipers, rear wheel cylinders, wildwood master cylinder installed. Custom aluminum dash is mocked up but original dash comes with car. Have full set of new and vintage 2 5/8 Stewart Warner gauges included with the car. New Kirkey aluminum race seats and covers installed, driver’s seat is adjustable on tracks, and passenger side is fixed. Steering wheel is quick detached with custom collar that does not modify the stock column in anyway. 4 core aluminum radiator Engine. Original 427 SOHC engine. Original SOHC engine block NO sleeves or welds. Bored .010. Original Iron SOHC heads, stainless valves and full Crower valve train. Full aluminum roller rockers with elephant foot adjusters on hardened rocker shafts. All of the following are Original FORD parts: Magnesium valve covers, timing cover, backing plate, sidewinder intake, all cam gears, stub cam, steel crankshaft .010/.010, steel flywheel, and Original 780 cfm numbers matching Lemans Carburetor. This is not an aftermarket piece together engine, all of the main parts are original vintage FORD with real history to them. Pistons are ceramic and Teflon coated JE forged 10.5 to 1 compression with Total seal gapless second ring sets, H beam rods, full ARP hardware with Comtec head gaskets. Edelbrock modified aluminum water pump, Milodon gear drive assembly, Canton road race oil pan, custom blue printed HV HP oil pump, ATI dampener, Full Centerforce Clutch and pressure plate, Crower cams advertised 561 lift 290 duration, front drive gear bearing oilers are also installed. I have spark plug tubes, extra gaskets, plug wires, SOHC plug wire boots and Mallory Unilite distributor. Mini high torque starter installed, mechanical fuel pump is a dummy and does not work. Engine has never been started, exhaust headers are not completed. Engine is turned and oil pump is primed once a month. Engine was assembled by 2 experienced mechanics and is fully blue printed and balanced by Engine Rebuilders of Boonville Missouri. Sorry the engine was not put together by Carrol Shelby, Holman Moody, Jack Roush, or any other famous person, if you want an engine built by one of these guys then pay as much for it as I am asking for everything here. Bellhousing is a RARE factory FORD Aluminum blow proof unit hooked to a fully rebuilt big input output toploader 4 speed with Hurst shifter and finned Magnesium cover plate with provisions for external cooler. Rear is factory Ford Talladega N case 31 spline 9 inch 3:25 open unit. Wheels are 15 X 8 Magnesium Pantera on all corners with ARP long studs and open end lug nuts. Car is set up to use factory wiring harness that I have with a few modifications. I have a lot of spare parts, trim, back seat, and Talladega grill seal. The car is sold AS IS where it is. You have to come and pick it up. The car does not move on its own and does not brake on its own. Rolls and steers fine. The car comes with a truck load of parts that can not be packed into the car for shipping so you must come and pick up the car and have room for extra parts. Payment is bank to bank wire transfer or certified bank check with ALL of you banks contact information in the check to include a phone number NO EXCEPTIONS. Feel free to contact me with any questions, I will not part the car out and I will not disclose the reserve. Contact me if you would like to look at the car in person before you bid. You will never see another one the way FORD would have built it back in 1969. TiTle is clear and in my name. Car will need exhaust headers finished (halfway done), wiring re-installed, brake lines connected, hydraulic clutch slave cylinder lines run, aluminum dash finished, minor fabrication work, interior installed and body work. On Feb-18-13 at 13:13:54 PST, seller added the following information: Hello, thank you all for your interest in the car. If you are a tire kicker please move on, there are plenty of new Mustangs listed on ebay you can buy. I will answer every serious question, from serious buyers, I will not talk price, this is an auction not Auto Trader. If you want to talk price send me a number, if not don't waste our time. Some of the serious questions I have received but could not post because people sent there phone numbers. The engine is turned over by hand once a month and the oil pump is turned with a drill at the same time. The oil in the engine is ST-30 with Red Line oil additive. I do have pictures of the original body but did not post them because they are not digital, I am getting them put on a disc now and if ebay permits I will post them. Transmission was rebuilt with parts from David Key transmissions I do have a windshield for the car, it comes with the car as long as I can get it out of the rafters in one piece. On Feb-18-13 at 13:27:16 PST, seller added the following information: Thank you for the offers (15 so far) But I am not interested in any trades, cars, trucks, boats, or your 1967 Air Stream trailer. On Feb-20-13 at 16:10:55 PST, seller added the following information: Answers to questions The Bell housing is the factory Ford thick aluminum scatter shield unit that came in some of the "factory" race cars Ford produced The front bumper and brackets are factory Talladega parts and the front bumper is steel. The chrome was sandblasted off and the copper plate is what is showing in the picture. I have an extra hood, passenger door (dented) and original trunk lid that go with the car with all of the other trim and parts listed above. The engine is set up to run on "pump" gas. Final compression ratio was calculated at 10.6 to 1 I have the under hood and factory wiring harness extension for the Talladega front end. I have the hood springs, hood hold down bracket with front header panel support, hood latch extension and hood release cable. On Feb-23-13 at 04:47:45 PST, seller added the following information: Reserve lowered. On Feb-23-13 at 08:17:53 PST, seller added the following information: Someone asked about the wheels and pointed out that Pantera's had 15X8 on the rear and 15X7 on the front. The car has 4 "rear" 15X8 REAL Magnesium wheels installed. The tires are new Firestone Indy, they have been on the car for a few years, they are not dried out. Forgot to mention that the front lower spring mounts are roller bearing, not stock rubber bushings and I have a set of Holman Moody adjustable lower front suspension arm links that go with the car. Also have new steering center link in the box plus the one on the car is still good. Reserve is met so car will sell to the highest bidder.
