I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description. Each description is unique and contains information specific to the vehicle being sold. Each unit is sold "as-traded" and has not been serviced or reconditioned unless specified otherwise. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1998 Volvo S70 T-5 sedan. The T-5 is the highest trim level offered in the S70 and is hard to find. I would rate the exterior condition of this S70 to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION. This S70 is finished in dark blue which looks okay. As with any used vehicle, please expect to find some scratches, scuffs and scrapes associated with daily use. She doesn't look too bad. The corner lights will need replaced which is common with the S70/V70 as the tabs get hard and break. The glass all appears to be intact. The five spoke alloy wheels are specific to the T-5 trim and show well. The tires show average tread all around. I would also rate the interior of this S70 to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION. The door panels show well. The carpets could use cleaned but are not worn excessively. The seats also show wear but are not in too bad of shape. The dash and headliner are clean. The audio system is original. The climate control is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. This S70 has the winter package which includes heated seats for both front seats. The trunk is spacious and the rear seats fold down for additional cargo space. Mechanically, this S70 T-5 will need a bit of attention. It has the desirable 2.3L high pressure turbocharged engine. It starts with a jump and runs smoothly at first. As it warms up, you can feel a miss at idle and while driving. I've ruled out the major issues. The compression is even across all five cylinders. The misfire is in cylinder #2. The engine doesn't appear to have any leaks and does not smoke. The suspension bushings are worn and should be replaced soon. The brakes work well. The engine keeps proper temperature at all times. On the road, this S70 drives pretty strait. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. You can get in this car and drive it as it is but I would take care of the immediate issues before using it as a daily driver. It starts with a jump but will need a battery, too.
