1988 BMW M6 - Well Maintained, two owner car- Clean and Clear Title/No Accidents or Body Work- Just passed 99,000 miles A relative of mine has owned the car since 1997 and bought it from a BMW mechanic in Long Island. The car then was a one owner vehicle, a doctor that got the car serviced at the same mechanic. When he bought the car, he moved it to his home in Jacksonville, FL. There is stayed as a garage queen and didn't get driven that much over the years. He put about 24,000 miles on it since then.The paint and body is completely original. There are a couple of things I would fix if I were to keep the car: 1. The front spoiler needs to be replaced or repaired and repainted. 2. The air conditioning doesn't work in the front of the car. The rear unit functions fine. The blowers work and blow fresh air, but once you push the "AC" button, no air comes out. 3. The lcd screen on trip computer needs to be replaced. The part is cheap and there are DIY videos online. 4. The doors and windows aren't easy to shut, since the rubber around them is original and this is a common problem with the e24s. It's a pain, but if you can lower the window slightly then shut the door, it makes it easier. I also think the colder weather makes the rubber harder than during summer months. 5. The hydraulics of the hood need replacing. The hoods opens, but needs something to hold it up.6. The SRS light is on. It indicates a fault with the airbag. All in all, these are minor things and the car drives great. Engine, transmision, clutch and suspension are all in great order. The rear suspension just got replaced this summer. The tires are also in great shape.
