Vehicle Detail
Up for Auction is a 1990 Jeep Wrangler YJ. Odometer reads 170,967 miles, but the motor was rebuilt at 170380 which means it only has around 600 miles since rebuild. The transmission was rebuilt and added was new clutch around 1,500 miles back, along with a new radiator. During the rebuild, a new starter, catalytic converter, battery, hoses, fuel pump, and sending unit were added. Jeep was smogged June 8th, 2012 after the motor work/rebuild was completed. Replaced plastic valve cover with an aluminum one, replaced the oil pan (had stripped oil plug hole), replaced stock suspension with a 4.5" BDS suspension, added 35" tires (currently have around 400 miles on them and counting) including 35" spare along with the new black wheels. Added a "trunk" where you can lock items with the tailgate, replaced locks on both doors and gate, stripped the old carpet out (Was planning on rhino-lining interior), replaced the center console, added cup holders to driver side and passanger side. The top/hardware are around three years old and in great shape (just need to be cleaned out, but you can see the true condition in the interior of the top). No rust, just dirty. It is a California vehicle, Central Cali to be more specific, so no concerns with the salty air you may find at the coast. I took out the old stereo it had and had planned to replace it. I have boxes with speakers that I had purchased new for the rear of the jeep, but have not installed. Aside from needing a good buffing, the body is in good shape. Missing the bumperettes in the rear (pics). I had invested quite a bit in this jeep because it was going to be our toy (wife’s and mine) but my wife eventually purchased herself a New Rubicon 4 door, and called it a “family car”. Now this one unfortunately must go. I do have two videos, one showing the jeep being started first thing in the morning (around 43 degrees F) and another one of the undercarriage showing no rust. Click on the link below to view on YouTube. I won’t ship. So, if you’re not local, YOU must arrange for transportation AFTER payment has been received and cleared through MY bank.
