I drive every one of my sale vehicles and write a thorough description including the good and bad of the vehicle. I try to accurately describe any mechanical issues to the best of my ability, but I am not a mechanic. When I compare something as "average" I am comparing it against the average of similar year and mileage used vehicles on the road, not the average on a dealer's retail sales lot. The Passat is VW’s classier mid-sized sedan. In my opinion, it is a little better in every way than the Jetta. As you can see in the pictures, the exterior of this Passat is a nice green color. This is a good looking car from a distance, however, up close it does have some flaws. The paint has peeled in a few spots, most noticeably on the trunk. There is a bit of cosmetic damage to the rear bumper. It looks like someone backed into a pole or tree at low speed. The alloy wheels look nice and they are wrapped in a matching set of Dunlop Signature radials with more than half tread. All of the lights and glass appear to be in good condition. The interior of the Passat is likewise in good condition. The black cloth seats look nice and are comfortable. I prefer the VW cloth seats over leather because it lasts better and nothing is worse than sitting hot leather seats in the summer! There are no holes. The carpets look nice and there is a pair of Harley rubber floormats. There are a few small trim pieces missing. The power mirrors work as they should. The power windows go up and down easily. The heater and A/C work well. There is an aftermarket CD stereo with good sound. It is missing an adapter to get radio reception, but the CD player sounds good and it has an input for an MP3 player. Mechanically this VW runs well. The V6 engine fires up easily and makes good power. There are no check engine or ABS malfunction lights. The 5-speed manual transmission shifts easily. The transmission mount bushings are worn, so if you shift abruptly, you will hear it move. The clutch catches high, but does not slip or chatter. This car does have a couple of minor issues. The exhaust flex pipe has a slight leak. This is common on these cars and it can be replaced by any muffler shop easily. The coolant temp sensor reads cold. The car gets up to temp quickly and the heater works properly, but the gauge always shows cold. The ABS brakes stop the car quickly and it is equipped with traction control. The steering is easy and quick. The suspension is smooth and level, like you would expect on an upscale German car. There are no shakes or wobbles and this car cruises down the highway effortlessly. The heater and A/C work well. There is an aftermarket CD stereo with good sound. It is missing an adapter to get radio reception, but the CD player sounds good and it has an input for an MP3 player.
Mechanically this VW runs well. The V6 engine fires up easily and makes good power. There are no check engine or ABS malfunction lights. The 5-speed manual transmission shifts easily. The transmission mount bushings are worn, so if you shift abruptly, you will hear it move. The clutch catches high, but does not slip or chatter. This car does have a couple of minor issues. The exhaust flex pipe has a slight leak. This is common on these cars and it can be replaced by any muffler shop easily. The coolant temp sensor reads cold. The car gets up to temp quickly and the heater works properly, but the gauge always shows cold. The ABS brakes stop the car quickly and it is equipped with traction control. The steering is easy and quick. The suspension is smooth and level, like you would expect on an upscale German car. There are no shakes or wobbles and this car cruises down the highway effortlessly.

Bidding:
Read the entire description and view all pictures before placing a bid. It does not do you or us any good if you win an auction on an item that does not fit your needs or has disclosed flaws that you are not comfortable with.
By placing a bid on any of our auctions, you assert that you have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, you enter into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should you be the winning bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully exercised their ability to complete any diligence or any any questions needed PRIOR to placing their bid.
In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This decision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If arrangements have not been made, we reserve the right to open an unpaid item case with eBay and sell the vehicle to someone else.
Payment:
Payment is due within 7 days of the auction close.
Cash is the preferred method of payment. Other payment arrangements may be made, please contact us for details. Paypal is NOT accepted for payment, nor do we have the ability to accept credit cards.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours; we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accommodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Vehicles paid with cash will be available immediately. If paid by any other method, the vehicle and title will be held until funds have been cleared by my bank.
All vehicles must be collected within 14 days of auction's end. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without a specific exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
