Offered here is an excellent driving and very clean 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible. It has the standard 302 V8 engine, and is the factory original color of Medium Yellow Gold with black striping, with a completely functional black power convertible top with glass backlight. INTERIOR: Has the original interior in Ginger Comfort Weave with the mustangs embroidered on the headrests of the front seats. There is one small tear in the vinyl of the driver's seat about 1/3 the way up and is about 1 inch in length (would probably have to point it out on first look); otherwise they are in good shape. Back seat has very little wear. Carpet & floors are excellent. Overall, interior is very good and original. However, please keep in mind that this is a 40-year-old car, and is not brand new. EXTERIOR: I believe this is the original paint job which has held out extremely well for its age. I haven't noticed any rust coming out. Car was sold new in Memphis, TN. No dents or dings, and no chips or cracks in the glass. Tires are nearly new. They are a little oversized which means that they rub the wheel wells when you turn the wheels sharply, which I have avoided with no trouble. ENGINE/TRANSMISSION: The odometer shows 38,746; and the true miles are 138,746. The miles on this car are very low for a 40-year-old car! The miles are WELL DOCUMENTED over the years by the $13,500 in maintenance receipts. The odometer does read 38,746 and has turned over ONCE making the true miles 138,746. We are not playing games like so many who state only the 5 digits showing as the original miles with no proof that it did not turn over once or twice, or that it has not been tampered with. The engine was rebuild approximately 2,500 miles ago. It runs and drives very smoothly. Newer exhaust, and a nice low throaty sound. Transmission shifts smoothly. On May 31st last year, it was serviced with an oil change and the oil pan gasket, transmission pan gasket, and the rear main seal were replaced. It now leaks NOTHING! There are a number of extra original parts included with the car that we will put into the trunk (includes the original air cleaner & convertible top boot). Black top is in very good condition with the exception of two small tears (about 1 inch or less) long in the fabric at the horizontal seam where the side meets the top above the small side windows (one on each side). They do not seem to cause us any problems, but they are there. There are almost $13,500 in maintenance and repair receipts included to show that this Mustang has been properly maintained and cared for as it should be over the years.
