1984 BMW 533i Good Daily Driver I have a 1984 BMW 533i for sale with a 5 speed manual and approximately 200k miles. I purchased the car in November of 2012 and intended it to be my daily driver. I used it as my daily driver up until about a week ago, there is nothing wrong with it; I just bought another car that I intend to be used as a daily and no longer need this one. The previous owner and I have put a lot of new parts on it in order to make it dependable, the list below is what has been done in the last 10k miles. - Suspension Bushings and Control Arms - Clutch Master Cylinder - Clutch Slave Cylinder - Clutch Kit - Injectors - Fuel Pressure Regulator - Throttle Position Sensor - All 6 Fuel Injectors - O2 Sensor - Plugs, Wires, Cap, & Rotor - Battery - K&N Air Filter - Transmission Guibo - Billy Boat Cat-Back Stainless Exhaust System - Tires on 15" later model BMW wheels approx 7/32 remaining on all 4 - V-Belts - ECU - All fluids changed in the driveline with Redline synthetics, I have been using Shell Rotella T 15w-40 for motor oil - I installed 3 way 6x9 speakers in the back and 2 way 4x6 speakers in the front. I also put a pioneer premier head unit in the car. PROBLEMS: The AC system is disconnected but still intact, it will need some work to get going again. Its winter so I haven't messed with it. The odometer does not work, it needs a set of plastic gears; I haven't had the chance to replace them yet. The odometer has 192k showing but I have driven it roughly 5k miles and the PO drove it very little. He said it stopped working after he bought it. The glove box handle had broken off but it is replaceable and still opens and closes fine. The car does burn a little oil on startup and leaks some oil. I found that I was putting a quart of oil in it every 500 miles or so. There is some rust in the passenger front lower fender and a little in the lower front wheel wells. It's not anything major and pretty good considering it's a 30 year old BMW. The rest of the car is solid. The car tends to wander on the highway due to the shocks being warn out. The alignment is fine it could just use shocks. Everything else on the car works and I haven't had any major issues from it in the last 3 months that I drove it as my daily driver.
