Vehicle Detail
This suburban has been in my family for 10+ years. It was my high school baby. My dad had a 76 full service automotive station and I worked on it every chance I got. When I was younger my grandfather, another great mechanic, worked on it as well. Regular maintenance such as engine oil, transmission flush, fuel filter, air filter, lube, antifreeze, spark plugs and intake/injector cleaning and changing has been supremely well kept up on a regular basis. In the last month alone the plugs have been changed, intake cleaned with sea foam cleaner and fuel additive for injectors, a new catalytic converter, vehicle speed sensor and new windshield. The rear differential was overhauled with left and right axels, the fuel pump and sending unit has been replaced, radiator and heater core, new air conditioning pump and receiver dryer. It has MSD 8 1/2 wires and MSD cap and rotor. It has aftermarket Doug Thorley headers with three inch pipe all the way to the chrome exhaust tip. It has after market warren lock hubs for the four wheel drive and after market rims. The sealing liner has been reupholstered and speakers upgraded, all other interior upholstery is in great shape and the seats are extremely comfortable. It has trailer lights but not trailer brakes. It was repainted in 2007 with the original color. The rain gutters were removed and I took all of the exterior trim off. I replaced all the rubber seals in the rear barn doors. At this time I also sanded the entire undercarriage including frame and painted it black. By this time it is obvious I have taken great care of this "Burb" and it shows, doesn't leak one bit. The list of repairs and upkeep can keep going but I want to get to how fun this thing is. I have slept in it when I was a river guide, taken it far into the dunes, got lost but didn't get stuck. I've taken it on snowboarding adventures where we were in blizzard conditions and avalanched in and made it out. It gets about 12-14 mpg city and 20 hwy. Smogged and tagged. The tank holds 40 gallons. Everything works, power windows, locks, mirrors, front and rear A/C gets ice cold, all interior lights, CD player, gauges are accurate... It drives like a dream, smooth and doesn't pull. It legally sits eight and still has plenty of room for everyone's gear in the back. I get compliments on it all the time. I want to get a motorcycle and travel, this is why I am selling. Whoever gets this beast will not be disappointed from the big family man to the outdoor enthusiast, this is a great truck and a good deal.
