Vehicle Detail

I bought this truck in Feb of 2010 after roughly six months I turned a cherry 2wd XL F250 into a 4wd XL F250. This is an XL not an XLT I belive. I have added everything a XLT would have and more except for power windows. These years have the same chassis between 2wd and 4wd so it just a matter of buying new parts and bolting them on. If your wondering if I was qualified to do this the answer is Yes ! I own an AAmco Transmissions shop in Colorado. My techs and I are all ASE certified techs and everyone there has at least 10 years in the automotive industry. I personally have been with AAmco working since 1988. All I wanted to do was built a cheap shop truck. Problem is once I got started working on the truck I couldn't stop. One thing lead to another and the next thing I know it turned into almost a restoration. Here is a list of all the parts I have put on this truck since building it. Re-manufactured 4x4 transmission with a billet back torque converter ($2500 ). Re-manufactured heavy duty manual 271 Borg Warner Transfer case ($1100), Custom made one piece rear drive shaft ( $450 ), rebuilt front drive shaft, Completely new front end including Moog upper and lower ball joints, heavy duty front axle u-joints, center link, tie rods pitman arm and everything including all the u-joints and ball joints has grease fitting. The truck drives pin straight. It has a Rough Country 8' lift kit ($1400.), no lift blocks just heavy duty springs and gas shocks etc, I disassembled the front differential and change all internal seals, inner and outer. New Warn heavy duty top of the line locking hubs ($275) , Moog front wheel bearings with new abs sensors , all new front and rear brakes including rotors, Rock Star 20" rims with Nitto 37" x 14" wide tires ( $2500.00 ) , new a/c compressor($230 ), new radiator ($240 ), new ford water pump, new ford alternator ( $300 + ), new ford cam position sensor, new upper and lower radiator hoses , new ford power steering hoses, the motor oil cooler that always leaks on the drives side of the engine was removed and resealed with ford seals, heavy duty external transmission oil cooler , external heavy duty transmission cooler, the front bumper was $1800.00 and I installed HID lights that are super bright were ($500.00) . It has a new Ford bed liner ($200. ) and new ford bed caps ($90 each ), the interior was redone at a local upholstery here in colorado, the front and rear seats were redone ($900) and a new head liner was installed ( $200 ). I bought 2 new ford sun visors to top of the interior ( $90 a piece ) but the inside looks like new now. It has a pioneer radio with a Alpine amp and speakers along with a alarm and a remote start. Car Toys in Greeley installed all that ( $1050. ). I just installed firestone air bags in the rear ( $250 ). It has 2 Interstate MTP 65 1000 cranking amp battery's . The whole frame of the truck was sanded and undercoated . This is an original Colorado truck so there is no rust because they don't used salt on the roads in the winter. You will not find a cleaner body or chassis than a mid west car or truck. I put on 2 new mirrors , new head light housing and front marker lights. It also has an electric trailer brake installed. The body and paint are original and look great though it does have it's minor improfections for example like small chips here and there. I've taken a lot of pictures to do my best to describe the truck. As far as I can tell there is no body work at all. I have a 4' turbo back exhaust. My Truck has only been driven by me. I don't have and never did have a down loader on it. The engine is dead stock. These motors have been know to go at least 450,000 miles. I have $15,000 plus into the truck with out labor I am sure. I built this truck to pull my car trailer for the shop. Maybe I use the truck 2 times a month but I have pulled an easy 15,000 pounds and not even felt the trailer or car/truck I was trailering. The truck is super smooth, The air bags work great and the engine and transmission are seamless. On the highway running 80 mph ( 75 mph speed limit in CO ) or around town the truck averages 13.5 miles per gallon. Remember I am at 5000 ft. and at sea level it should be 20% better . With a down-loader even more. The truck will start at 0 degrees without being plugged in and without ether ( it dosn't like it but it started right up ) , I know this because I blew a circuit breaker and found out the hard way. It runs and drives like a new truck. Mainly because everything is new and been changed within the last 15,000 miles . Please remember when bidding on this truck, you would be hard pressed to find a cleaner better running truck but it is used. I have got email's from people that want me to promise them nothing will go wrong with the truck. Its not new and things will break and go wrong with it I am sure. If you want to never have a problem then go buy a new truck. Just remember that new cars and trucks come with a warranty for a reason.......because even new cars and trucks break. If interested or you have questions please e-mail me at mikeaamcogreeley@comcast.net . By the way the truck private party on kelly blue book is $12500.00 for a truck in good condition that I am sure would not have got anywhere near the same repairs or upgrades as my truck has....My reserve is way under that. Good luck and happy bidding. Also I am selling the truck as is where is no warranty expressed or implied , on that note I would drive the truck cross country today...it runs and drives that good. I am selling the truck locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early should I sell the truck. Also if you have negative feedback please contact me before bidding.
