Vehicle Detail

First thing's first, this is my baby... I've been working on this car for more than two years, but since I'm getting married, it's time to let go... This 1968 Mustang coupe has had a heart transplant with a fuel injected 5.0 Liter engine out of a 1993 donor Mustang. The engine was replaced in 2007, new, by the previous owner. Along with the transplanted power plant came the T5 5-speed manual transmission. You will not find a '68 that runs smoother than this, with the power steering, power brakes, and the power under the hood provided by the modern engine... American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels sport a pair of new 215/45R17's up front, with the rear wheels putting traction to the pavement with 245/45ZR17's. These guys dress the car up nice and really help this monster perform like a true muscle car. With a black exterior, the interior is finished off in Parchment - with the wheels, exterior paint and brand new front and rear shiny chrome bumpers (as well as the smooth sounding 5.0 under the hood, complete with dual chrome exhaust tips) this thing really turns heads... The car is completely rust-free having lived in California her whole life - body is straight and clean. There is no radio, but the adapters are there and the radio bezel is intact, so it'd be easy to pop one in... The interior is completely new, including headliner, dome light, carpets with two layers of dynamat sound deadener, seat coverings, kick panels, dashboard, instrument bezel, deluxe door panels, and everything else inside you can think of. The seats themselves were taken down to bare metal, sanded, oiled and tweaked so they adjust really smoothly, which is almost unheard of in these cars. The interior's black carpet and parchment finishes are unique - you won't find this color combination on any ole Mustang down the street... The most recent work done on the car include: new heater control cables; new heater core; new heater hose; heater box seal kit; new heater plenum; new defroster hoses; front and rear window gaskets (3 tubes of bedding and glazing compound used to properly seal); new front disc brake rotors; new disc brake pads; new inner & outer wheels bearings; new grease seals; new idler arm; new rear wheel cylinders; new speedometer cable; new headlight switch; new front & rear bumpers. All told I have more than $22,000 in this car - but we all know we can't get out of them what we put into them... It's a labor of love... All restoration work has been done by Ringold Creek Mustang, who specialize in 1964-1969 vintage mustangs, and they're incredible at what they do... Please feel free to email me ANY questions you have - if I can't answer them, the pros at the shop will be able to no problem... This is the second Mustang I've sold on eBay, and it breaks my heart every time... But my loss is your gain... Bid with confidence knowing you're getting a super solid and good looking machine...
