The car is un-restored and looks very attractive for it's age. The engine starts right up and sounds amazing. The idle is smooth and she accelerates beautifully off the line. The transmission shifts right on time through all the gears and the entire drive train is solid and tight. The car runs extremely well. The brakes, steering and suspension are all in proper working condition. All mechanical and electrical systems operate like they should. The Drivers side windows do not roll down? All climate control levers are in tact (notorious for broken plastic levers). All in all the car is fun to drive and is very peppy and exiting to drive. Cosmetically this car is NOT a gem,but rather a solid driver quality car. Up close there are various imperfections in the paint (chips, nicks, scratches, paint blisters, etc. There is nothing that takes away from how attractive she looks. Overall the body, chassis and frame are completely solid. Great floors, frame and trunk compartment. No dents. While the paint still has luster, a new paint finish would bring this car over the top. The color is absolutely gorgeous and could be best described as a "red wine metallic"? The interior is clean and original, showing quite well for being almost 50 years old. There are various flaws in the dash wood trim, MB-Tex seats, and carpeting. The door-panels and headliner remain in tact. All of the chrome still shines nicely.... but since it is original it is of course not show quality. There has been an aftermarket CD player which was tastefully installed without disruption to the original integrity of the dashboard/console. The steel rims and factory dog dish MBZ hubcaps give the car it's classic look and feel. The matching white wall tires have good tread remaining. Although this is not a show quality vehicle, it still has a very honest appeal and comfortable ride quality. If you choose to make this a show car it has all of the quality's/attributes one would look for. Or if you want a car to enjoy on the weekends as-is than this Mercedes 250S would also fit your needs.
