Vehicle Detail
2002 BMW 745i with 230,292 miles, car runs and drives, watch video below.Car has several issue's that need to be repaired before being a daily driver again. Car was purchased non-running at insurance auction as a Salvage Flood Vehicle. The car had a bad Piller "B" air bag control module, this module controls the passenger air bag & fuel pump, I replaced this module which makes the car start and run, however these BMW module's have to be "flashed or programmed" to the car. This needs to be done by either a BMW dealer or shop that has the correct software to perform this task. The airbag light, seatbelt light, and check engine light will remain on until this is done. But the module is now working correctly. Notice small dent on drivers side rear door, Hard to see.I only have 1 smart key with the car. Car needs a front control arm bushing on the passenger side. Part on ebay $40Car needs front brake pads. Part on ebay $75 Car needs Serpentine Fan Belt and possible tensioner Part on Ebay $150 Car has small hydraulic oil leak. Part on Ebay $100 Parking brake needs new plastic gear Part on Ebay $100 The car has a hydraulic system that powers the power steering, Dynamic Control Suspension. so the small oil leak shouldnt be let go for too long, however it is a very small drip. I try to describe the car as accurate as possible, so that you know what you are buying, the motor feels very strong, and transmission shifts smooth. I know these cars pretty well, I try to pick up non running BMW's and get them running, the little things that still need repair, I usually leave for the buyer. I am not sure why the car has a Flood Title, however the interior is very dry, and there are no signs of any water damage, after Hurricane Sandy there was a lot of insurance fraud, and with almost 250,000 vehicles damaged insurance companies were not able to visually inspect every car, and alot of older cars with high milage were totaled on the owners word. Car is for sale locally and I am looking to end auction early and sell, so feel free to call and make offer.Eric 609-760-2894
