Greetings everyone. The time has come for me to sell our trusty Outback. It's a 1996 with 198k miles on the odometer. I purchased it from Euromoto in northeastern PA several years ago. As a matter of course, they change head gaskets and timing belts on all the cars they sell. So the motor has run perfectly since we've had it. I'm still driving this car so the mileage listed will be slightly different than the actual mileage when you come arrive to drive the car home. Have a look at the pics and if you have any questions, please let me know. The good:2.2 litre engine with approximately 160k miles on it. The 2.2 is historically a more robust engine than the 2.5 of the same year.Automatic transmission has clean fluid and shifts properly.Rear diff has Subaru Extra-S oil in it and is nice and quiet.2 brand new monroe front struts installed about 3 months ago.New catalytic converters.New O2 sensor.New exhaust from cat back.Replaced the engine knock sensor due to the common cracking issue.Heated seats.Heated mirrors.Dunlop Graspic DS-3 snow tires in EXCELLENT condition.Replace both front brake calipers 2 years ago.Replaced the left rear brake caliper 2 years ago.Engine block heater.Two brand new rear Monroe struts. New in box, *uninstalled.New front stabilizer bar bushings and endlinks, *uninstalled.New bushings for the rear stabilizer bar *uninstalled.Replaced the exterior trunk hatch handle with one that actually works.Valid PA state inspection until 8/2013 The bad:Bottom edges of all doors are rusted.Back end of rear wheel arches are rusted.Rust hole just behind attachment point for the left trailing arm.Front stabilizer bar is removed, but will be included.No rear wiper. The car runs very well, gets decent mileage and is overall, a very good car. It's spectacular in snow. As mentioned in "the bad" section, it's got rust as is common in Subarus. It's very drivable and has a valid PA state inspection until August of this year. But, the time has come to find a new Subie to wrench on and drive. The only payment I will accept for this is cash in person or a bank money order. No PayPal or personal checks will be accepted.
